#7 Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager suddenly remembers that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return to the people. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totalling $27. The bellboy has $2, totalling $29. Where is the missing $1?

The manager has $25 and the bell boy $2.So......you should substract and not add the 2.

You should substract 2 and then the manager has 25.So problem solved.

#8 Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in The English Language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is :wink:

#9 A table tennis ball fell into a tight deep hole. The hole was only a bit wider then the ball, so you can not use your hand. How would you take it out, with no damage?

Three masters of logic wanted to find out, who is the wisest one. Then he painted only red dots on every one. When they went out everybody had their hands up and after a while of thinking one of them said: "I have a red dot on my head." How could he be so sure?

ok i've heard one slightly like this but i'm not sure if i can explain the answer properly. i got it in my head though.

right, if both of the others had been blue spots, everyone would know instantly cos the guy with the red spot wouldn't put his hand up.

so if one of the others had blue spots then if his was also blue, then the guy with the red spot wouldn't put up his hand.

So because both of the others put their hands up, but neither of them answer (as they would be able to do if his was blue(for the reason above, if theirs was also blue then the other guy would have answered))

so the key is that he has to wait a while, to see if the others can answer, from what they see. if they can't answer,then the answer is clear to all. tricky one to explain.
