PURE AGARWOOD/OUD

by Reyna L. Zhang » Fri Oct 29, 2004 2:37 am

I have available many grades of fine Agarwood and 3 grades of pure traditionally steam distilled Agarwood oil. I can sell to private buyers or in large commercial quantities. My Agarwood is a must try as it comes from southern China. Not many people know that Agarwood is still available here. There is also not very many traders on the market today who have acess to fine quality Agarwood and it is even rarer to find oil that has not been adulterated. My oil is simply the best and I take care of the whole process from start to finish in the extraction process to make sure my oil is superb. I am an honest and sincere producer of Agarwood and its oil. I care about my clients and customers and always hold my integrity above making money. Samples are available for purchase so you may try my Agarwood before making a larger purchase. If you have further questions, please contact me anytime via e-mail.

Kind Regards, Reyna L. Zhang

Reply to Agarwood Question

by Aloeswood » Fri Nov 26, 2004 12:22 am

Agarwood/Aloeswood is a resin that is produced in wounded Aquilaria trees in response to being invaded by a specific fungus. The resin is slowly produced...sometimes over hundreds of years. It is an extremely rare event for a tree to be wounded and then attacked by a fungus. With poaching and greedy people harvesting Aquilaria trees with or without the Agarwood resin, finding Agarwood is very very rare and difficult. It is so rare, that on the world market today, high grades of genuine Agarwood may fetch more than 1.5 times more value than gold. It is without a doubt the "holy grail" of all aromas, scents, fragrances, essential oils and incense. And not just because of its rarity...Agarwood oil is medicinally the top essential oil and used for many disorders and diseases within chinese and ayurvedic medicine and has superior aroma therapy benefits. The aroma of Agarwood is very unique and addicting as it is a potent aphrodisiac. The Japanese use only Agarwood in a special incense game called KohDoh where one has to guess the grade and/or type of Agarwood being used. It is used as an aromatic in Taiwanese wine and Buddhist temples use it for burning as incense. Agarwood's true home though, seems to be the Middle East where it is known as Dehnul al oud or simply Oud. It has been used since ancient times for religious rituals, special ceremonies such as weddings and as a welcoming scent to fragrance your guests as they visit your home. It is used to scent hair, skin, clothes and there are many attars and ruhs with Agarwood as the main component.

Well, I hope that tells you enough about Agarwood. Feel free to ask more questions!
