Well apparently they were proposing a flyover which goes through ammerpet and lands at lakadikapool.so i am guessing that some genius thought of keeping the mmts on it.

I dunno if any 'flying train' is in the works, but I do know that the second phase of MMTS is to connect Chaitanyapuri (near dilsukhnagar) to kukat pally and may be the third phase connects sec'bad to ameerpet or something like that. I had the map of the second and third phase on my computer, need to search for it.

One Mr. Sridhar was making maps of all urban rail transport routes in India in their local languages (hindi, local lang, english) and I provided him with the titles in telugu for MMTS and its on the net.

Considering the hyderabadi traffic, narrow roads and the Musi that passes through city, I would consider anyone who can come up with a viable train route as a genius AFAIK, they couldnt figure out how to build a flyover at Nalgonda X roads where two four laned roads (total 8 lanes) coming from Malakpet and saidabad merge into a two lane road at Nalgonda X roads creating a traffic night mare!

Delhi - old city - is good for rickshaw rides through really narrow streets with electricity wires dangling overhead. Some good shops too for silk etc.

I remember the old rickshaw wala who used to drop us to our house when we were in BVB.....still see him arnd at times.
