What would you do?

by Reality,,its here.Accept it. » Mon Nov 22, 2004 12:51 pm

Hello everybody,

I faced this situation very recently and i wanted to share it with the board and ask how the members would have reacted in a similar situation.

What would you do if it was the birthday of someone who is really special for you (not wife or girlfriend nor parents but someone whose significance can not be put in words but only be felt) and you are in situation where you can not contact her in any way so that you could wish her? Let me give is an example of the situation, you have a mobile and its the only way you can contact that person but its out of charge and you do not have any one around so that you could borrow one either. You do not know the phone number of that person nor the address.

What would you have done to wish that person?

(I know its already late to ask for advice but i wish this would help if i was ever caught in a similar situation.)

Well if that person so significant it would mean that u will have a good understanding with him/her. Until and unless that person has laid a strict condition like 'u have to wish me else....' i wouldnt really worry coz the things are out of my control. but again a special person would not lay down such stoopid conditions. :D

i'd probably sit back, have a nice cold beer, and think of her. next time you see her tell her on her birthday you sat back, had a nice cold beer, and thought of her.

A close friend of mine recently missed my birthday! I felt .... disappointed in him, not mad, definetely not mad. :(

Afterwards I understood why he hadnt called but it still hurts.

He wanted to buy me cool and expensive gifts but I opted for spending time with him later like movies or something because he wasn't there, so its call good now.

Don't take it so hard, there are holidays coming up (regardless of whether you celebrate) buy her something nice (flowers, apology card) its cute and its pataoing (Sharjeel's idea) and makes you look good again (just do to be on the safe side)

A birthday lost is a birthday lost. There is no substitute to not getting the wishes through.
