Jarod is a genius that was taken from his parents as a child by an organization called The Center. At The Center a man by the name of Sydney raised Jarod to further develop his intellectual abilities.
Sydney raised Jarod, like a father figure, taking him through simulations of events such as terrorist attacks and rescue attempts. The information from these simulations was sold to the highest bidder by The Center. However, once Jarod discovered that the simulations were being used for corrupt purposes he planned and successfully made his escape.

Having been at the center for the past thirty years he was unaware of the world around him. In many ways he was still a child, unaffected by the experiences a person his age would have been through. Every day he's making new discoveries about people, relationships, and other things that we experience in our daily lives.

His goal is to help others in need, which have no means of defending themselves against unjust activities. Using his genius, and skills from the center, he can pretend to become anyone that he wants to be: a doctor, lawyer, fireman ?what ever is necessary to help someone.

The Center, who still wants Jarod for their simulations, sent out a team of agents called 'sweepers' to track him down. At the head of this team is Miss Parker, daughter of The Center's founder, a cunning and cruel agent dedicated to capturing Jarod- at almost any expense. Sydney also joined this team, but with mixed feelings. He was caught between thinking of Jarod as either a subject or the son that he never had. Broots, a brilliant and somewhat shy computer specialist, also joined Miss Parker's team.

Everyday Jarod has to elude Miss Parker and The Center's operatives for the fear of either being caught and taken back, or killed. While on the run he's in search of his past, trying to find his mother and father, will he ever succeed? That has yet to be answered, but through his travels he's constantly learning, helping, and making new friends ... Maybe one day he will find what he's searching for.
