Yeah it was tough esp. the DI part.Me a conventian so english is easy for me.Once i finish that fast,I move on to other sections and provide ample time for Quant as tht has been my Bugbear since ages.iltering out easy questions and answering them accuraately is another forte that I have worked on..... Eventually the results will tell....ki kaun kitne paani mein hai......

Common Aptitude Test. Anybody aspiring to do MBA in India after a bachelor's degree can take this test.

Hey ycr I didn't know you were taking the CAT. Hope you get through. Which are the universities where you can use your CAT scores?

CAT is over now and I think I did reasonably well.Have to wait for the results though.CAT in India is conducted by the IIM's (Indian Institute of Management) and on the basis of the scores, admissions are made.Other than the IIM's other B-Schools also use CAT for their selection process.IIM's though have a higher cutoff marks and only a High CAT score is enough to get you a call. But in case of other colleges, one has to apply beforehand and provide them with CAT registration number so that they can retreive the candidates' score from the IIM's and use it for their own selection process. The Separate aplication is for Hundreds of colleges all over India and almost all of them have an Application gfees ranging from 1000 to 1500.So one should apply to as many institutes as possible only if he/she is pretty confident about getting a good score.

The cutoffs for these colleges is less than that for the IIM's but there are only a handful of A+ rated colleges. Not all colleges take CAT scores though.Other than CAT there are also other National-Level Entrances like XAT (of XLRI).MAT,ATMA,CET. Some institutes prefer their own tests-IIFT,FMS & NMAT.So it is a helluva task for the aspirants to choose and pick the best Exam and college.

hey ur attempts look good considering the surprise factor.

yes DI was really tough. i know ppl who didnt attempt a single Q in the subsection 2. and they all did really well in the mocks.

i feel a score of 55+ is good.

There are many Institutes who are Just below the IIM's in many parameters and getting into these is no mean feat. Institutes like NITIE,MDI,SPJAIN are in noway inferior tio the IIM's except in the fact that IIM's have got the "Brand Name" that you often associate with success n fame
