Until today I was under the misapprehension that there would be hardly anyone in FHDB who would be interested in playing Games & I am talking abt PC Games here.Today the myth was broken and i found out that Hyderabadis also are keen Gamers.

So the time is ripe now to know what Genre of games the FHDB Members play.C'mon guyz n galz cast ur Frag (Colloquy for Vote  ) and announce ur choice of Genre and also do post your favourite game in that Genre.......

You forgot to add a genre there. Classic/Retro games.

I was heavy into gaming when I was in college. Favourite game was Pacman. Also played a lot of Wolfenstien and Blood. But give me Pacman anyday...even today.

I used to love AOE but the main problem with the game is you get completely into the game and you start losing track of time.I spend something like 5-6 hrs on each game and it was really irritating for me because I missed many classes. :( :(

   Yeah that happened to me once but for me the a-holes at the store gave me a wrong key(Black Hawk Down:Delta Force) and it was irritating to play the game because I kept on going to the shop to argue about the CD and they kept denying it. :D Finally got the proper CD though but I just finished couple of levels.

Actually i dont remain stuck to a particular genre as such.Once a game catches my fancy I keep at it till I complete it.It took almost a month for me to complete Serious Sam SE.

IMO it is one of the toughest (if not the best) FPS games around.Medal of honor & Return to Castle wolfenstein are also Top Class FPS.NOLF and IGI are good but lack in AI.UT and Quake series are too repetative in nature.

Another FPS i very much enjoyed playing was Deus Ex.Altough it was very dramatic & long Drawn it was worth the wait.Max Payne 1 was IMO far better than 2.Other than grafix improvements and storyline,it had nothing much to offer.HAve'nt played Doom or Half-Life so there is still some ground to be covered in FPS Genre.....

There isnt anything exiting about Doom but HL2 is simply awesome.I wasnt that impressed about HL but the graphics in 2 are really good. You should play it.The main problem with HL2 is that you cant pirate the game that easily. You have to log on to their server and the key will unlock the game(Even for the offline version). And the key can be used only once.Everytime you install the game and want to unlock it you have to type your password. :( :D

Thank God I finally found some gamers. First choice - FPS. I love Quake. Doom 3 is a work in progress right now. Finished Call of Duty 2 days back. IMO, Call of Duty is much better than Medal of Honor: Allied Assault(MOHAA). Probably the next choice would be racing stuff. NFS - Hot Pursuit 2, Underground and most recently Underground 2. Stopped playing AOK/AOC long ago except for a couple of multiplayers on the LAN from time to time.

Considering the fact that MP2 sucked compared to MP1, I'm not too keen about MP3. MP2 lacked a strong story-line which was the most important factor of MP's success. Bullet-time motion rockssss but that goes without saying, ofcourse

Well, we started multi-player after friday dinner. We missed all meals on saturday(had some snacks though) and I remember going for lunch on sunday.

'Tis onlya speculation.A wierdo at IGN boards,a Gaming DB,posted some links abt MP3 releasing in Nov 05.But those links are to some other DB's!!! As matters stand of now, nothing is Official yet. Another DB has a link to somepage where the Head Developer of Remedy Says that "There Surely Won't be Max Payne 3" .....So much for authenticity....

However GameSpot states that Max Payne 3 will be released and developement will start soon.
