Anybody here using r connect facility by reliance company?
i feel brutally cheated.
they collect rs 500 for silver connection.
still they impose a fees of Rs 1000 etc ( more or less) for usage charges.
it also dont open the security websites like bank sites.
why?
please share your experiences.

haha well internet on my cell phone has been the most irritating thing i have dealt with. the provider was hutch in bangalore. I bought a hutch connection topped it up with a recharge coupon of 1024 and got a new GPRS enabled cell phone and got my GPRS activated which had a one time activation fee of Rs 100 and a monthly rental of Rs 500. I asked for a demo at the hutch shop and they said it would not be possible. i asked about the download speeds and was guaranteed a speed of not less than 11Kbps. so i went home and checked out the connection. i had problems connecting but was eventually able to connect and got a max speed of 2Kbps.
The connection hardly worked for two days and even in these 2 days i cud not stay connected for more than half an hour. and after these 2 days i jus couldn connect.calling customer care everyday for a month didn seem to solve the problem.i was also told that they did not provide that facility where i was residin which was just 2 km away from the hutch shop(they jus din have the infrastructre to support GPRS). i used to be promised calls being returned from customer care but none of them were ever returned. this went on for a month and then i threatened to go to a consumer court and i was told to go ahead. hutch was very arrogant in this case all thorugh. inspite of all these complaints after a month they cut another 500 and then i called them to find out y they did so n they said that i din ask them to cancel the connection. by then i had to leave bangalore and when i went back after a month those guys deducted another 500 and my balance was -580. this is a problem with most service providers here. i have had miserable problems with sify broadband too which would go into pages if i went on.
