Lucifer wrote:I do not know what people here meant by "GUJARAT POLICE". Like the same members said, everyone is "Innocent till proven guilty" don't the police get the same treatment? No court has indicted the Gujarat Police for what happened in the riots - one or two police officers might have been but that does not mean that the whole corps is guilty. That would be like saying all muslims are terrorists just because Osama Bin Laden is one.
Yes I said "GUJRAT POLICE" in quotes because I wanted to show why few Muslims in hyderabad created trouble on the arrest of the Mullah. Mind you few.. not all.
Lucifer wrote:Secondly, that Mullah is known to have links with the ISI. Besides, the man was in Police custody. How can anyone justify the mob attacking the commissioner's office to secure his release?
There was no justification. I was comparing why the followers of the mullah attacked the Police convoy to try and snatch the Mullah from the poilce and the followers of seer havent come out on the street. What the mullah followrs did was wrong and they paid the price. ONE DEAD & SEVERAL OTHERS INJURED.
Lucifer wrote:How can people be allowed to take the law in their own hands?
That was wrong and they did pay the price for that. I think the AP police did a good job of containing the trouble.

Modi Police arrests...
Is DC trying to say that the Police are on the CMs payroll and not on the Gujarat Government's? Just because the person arrested was a muslim did they have to give this a communal connotation? And, that despite the man in question being an ISI agent? Is this what our press can stoop to to just sell a few extra copies a day? And, then when the Seer is arrested there is nothing - just silence. Why?
Yes DC did stoop down to the hades to try to sell a few copies more.
DC has been know to write catchy headlines and resort to down and dirty tricks to sell their paper. Just open up the third page of any DC, you will find all the perverse news items, news that appeals to the animal side of a human. This is not good conscientious journalism. I dont expect this from a major daily.

This case is not about hurting a community. If the Seer was arrested for doing religious work that is just, then it would have been communal injustice.
The Seer was arrested under the suspicion of commiting a murder... murder to what end, maybe it was for the good of the temple and people, but a crime is a crime and he should be prosecuted for that. Not just by the law but by the Hindu governing council and it should be a fair trial. Mind you a HINDU man was killed and the Seer's name has come up in it.
Its too ealry to say anything, the court will decide.
And the police will not do anything stupid, since he is one of the main leader of hindu people.
