What didja do for Diwali/EID

by asli_badmash » Sun Nov 14, 2004 2:48 pm

BEfore Diwali we bought a Car (WagonR- White)

Diwali Badmashi...

- We tied a cracker ladi to a Donkey's tail and rest was history. I personally didnt but my child toli did and I didnt stop them. I feel bad about it though.

- We burst a King-King bomb at 5 in the morning and had few neighbours shouting at us for that. I thought that was cruel. But it was my doing.

- We have some Monkeys around the house and we were chasing them through out the colony armed with crackers. They were so scared. Hey.. this is for all the things they have done to us through out the year. Time we paid back some.

For EID I bought 2 awesome Levi Jeans - 1 Sherwani - 3 Viscose shirts by no-name.. the cloth has awesome feel on the skin...

I am cooking some of the dishes for EID at home and have invited few family folk. It would be fun... :D

So what are you guys doing for EID or have done for Diwali... :D

People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.
I used to care, but things have changed.

our family's diwali was on thursday early morning, which was followed by mandatory visits to/by relatives. lots of food n sweets (now i am sick of sweets  ). as usual we woke up a few neighbors early in the morning at 4:30am

friday was relatively quite for our family and evening we visited my in-laws who had their diwali at that time. some crackers n eats and we were home at 11pm.
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings

U've actually mentioned the stuff u bought! Thats so sweet! Very child like:-)

This year's Diwali was sans crackers but my neighbours more than made up for it!!! :) And whats with the burning of crackers at 5.30 am ??? Was told by my Tam Brahm friends that they have a pooja in the morn, so that explains the sequence.

Eid? Have a friend at B Hills who invited me over to her house for Eid.....want to go out of curiosity, never been to any Muslim friends' houses on Eid before. Love the sevain/firni (spelling?) though.

Id Mubarak in advance Badmash and its such a pity the rest of us wont get to savour aapke haath ka banaya hua khana!

Oh btw, the Id greetings also go out to Alexis and her sisters (Simarik and Aqua?)

Eid is today here in America.....and so far Ive been on the phone with people calling to say "Eid Mubarak".

A while ago I chatted with Azazel about some important issues of 'life'. Ahem, quite literally.

We have an Eid party to attend, which I cant do cuz I have work. :x

Holiday = Movie time!!!!!!!!

Went out with my two best friends - Bridget Jones II

Was a good movie (all right, a good chick movie!) and had a good time laughing through the movie with my girls.

P.S. Eid Mubaarak!

Eid mubarak to everyone here.

This Deepavali (prefer calling it that way) was just like the past 15 for me, sans crackers. Spent it talking to my parents the whole day, which is just like being on the db.:).

i tried to beat my depressed weekend by going for a 20 Km walk along the beach. Was pretty good, realised more things about myself than i thought i knew, and hey, by chance i entered a stretch of nudee, was awesome!

felt a bit uneasy in the starting, but got used to it.

I heard they sell wigs made of PUBES on Nudee beaches. Aparently the pubes have greater tensile strength and last longer.

Bimbette : I would have invited more people for EID but havent been able to, the whole day is fixed. Since my Dad was the eldest in the family, we have folks coming over all day.

But some other day, I am going to make awesome dinner and invite people over form the DB to pig out at my place. I have to get in the mood. Maybe soon.

HAPPY EID people. :D

I dont know how to beat depression.....I dont take pills and I dont have a therapist. I just mope and sulk in agonizing contemplation. Its an unusual sight for people to see me like that because Im always cheerful and smiling. *sigh* Oh well.
