What do you visit the discussion boards for?

We all visit discussion boards or chat rooms for a variety of reasons. What do you guys come here for? Please select your choice and let other people know what you come here for by posting your opinions.

I come here to keep in touch with my hyderabad+have an intelligent discussion+rant and vent my anger about things I feel are wrong.

Yeah, nice topic. Very relevant to all of us. But the same topic has come up earlier and I think I brought it up at some point of time! :-)

I come here to give vent to whats in my head and to learn. While I still swear by the DBs must say there's only so much u can do on a DB. You'll get the knowledge faster by reading/surfing the relevant website, instead. And not to mention the fact that the discussions go off-track lots of times.

Right now am going thru a 'lets visit them to kill time' phase...dunno how long it'll last :roll:

Please accept my apologies for plagiarising, but trust me , it was unintentional. It would be good if you can post the link to that discussion here since it is relevant. And I am sure your 'kill-time' phase will be over soon, I am going through one myself!

Honestly , the first time i came to this site was to see if i could locate cimena theater status in hyderabad. Then I saw a topic about spitting in hyderabad and i felt i had to reply. Thats the reason i got on to dbs.

And why i keep coming back, its a combo of saying what i feel, getting heard, hearing new & different points of view and finding information about things i dint know before.

My sister, Aquarian81 discovered this site and told me about the discussion board. I just came on to see what Hydis had to say. I joined, made some friends....and the rest is history.

I discovered this site, gosh can't remember but whenever my profile says.

I come here to have an intelligent discussion, sometimes to see how people will react to certain news (for all the thread I have started) and just for fun. This is an addictive DB.

I knew this site existed a few years ago thru a few friends of mine who were working for kishore, but never knew that there was DB here. just chanced upon the DB one afternoon when i was pretty sad about shit. and i got addicted to it. now, its more or less a part of my daily life, just like it is to most of the regulars here.

One thing i really dont participate, or i d rather like to stay away are the mind boggling sessions of intelligent talk.

Well, ichanced upon this DB while searching for something (dun remember) I happened to read the year 2003 review on FH. it was funny alrite. that was it ....I browsed the site and discovered the link to the DB.

I've got to know a lot of things here. This DB has certainly had a +ive effect on me.

i have been visiting this site, incl the DBs, since mid-2002, but started posting regularly from september 2003. the DBs were also in an entirely different format at that time and this current format came up around feb'03 i think.

i visit for "combo of the above". reasons like finding new friends, killing time, having a good discussion abt some topic, having fun and many many more! i am happy to say that all my objectives are met

i came here cos i was in the process of transfering to Hyd and wanted to find out more about the place and the people. i keep coming cos the people here are nice.

im not very good on DB's though, i've probably written double the number of messages that appear on my postcount, but i often change my mind at the last minute. i hate the fact that you cant erase or modify your posts here, really freaks me out. i tend not to come here when i'm in a bad mood.

Interesting. So none of you come here to check out girls/guys. That's a big improvement because I used to frequent chat rooms/discussion boards for meeting girls and setting up dates

(not anymore though). So looks like the younger folk in hyderabad have come a long way in maturing. Or is it hypocrisy???
