Hallmark was named for its founder Joyce C Hall. The company would have probably been an also-ran and the greeting-card industry itself would have been a fringe industry but for an innovation that Hallmark brought to the industry. The innovation has to do with the way greeting cards are sold. What is the innovation?

The Answer is ... The company invented the system of display racks for cards. Till then cards were sold over the counter.
