That is very sad. I read his after-accident story/interview on RD and really started to appreciate him as a person.

RIP.I know its really sad.Just 1 week ago I was hoping that he would star in the new superman movie as a cameo but now its just sad.Did you guys know that many people hate him?Its because he didnt start an institute for his problem before his accident and he was only interested in his well being. :D :(

well, sometimes it takes that to understand someone's problem. R.I.P, the guy who'll always be the Superman to me.. no matter who takes the part in the upcoming version/s

I was shocked when I saw this on the news just a while ago!

He was so hopeful of recovery and his ability to walk again, Ive seen many of his interviews. But God willed otherwise.

RIP.

Dang.. Can't believe such a dynamic on-screen personality would be reduced to a vegetable, and is now dead :( And why is his face masked in all the recent photos?

Probably because he was ecouraging Senator Kerry to add some focus on Stem-cell research in his Presidential campaign.

I saw a Christopher Reeve special on tv a while ago, and it had his past and recent interviews. In most of them (the recent ones) he was smiling and seemed very determined on finding a cure so he could walk again.

There was one interview, dated sometime in 1996, where the interviewer says,

"So Christopher, 10 years from now can we have an interview at the beach where we can be seen walking along the sand?"

He beamed and with a big smile replied,

"Oh thats very do-able. Set the date, I'll meet you there!"

Watching that made me very sad, my heart just sunk. I didnt know the guy, but still......

But what does the research have to do with the masking of his face? Its as if his face is made of plastic mould!

And look at this webpage.. some SOB has put up a webpage accusing Christopher Reeve http://maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=creeve

Can't this maddox bastard have some respect for the dead?

come to think of it, i do agree with the dude whoever wrote that. i mean its not good to speak evil of the dead but yea, he does have a point. in fact, ive had that thought too.. y only when someone big or a celeb faces a problem does it have a significance??
