Yep.. They have some similarity but they are unique in their own ways. The Jackal wrote:Just finished reading all Dan Brown books. And I have to say all his book have the same plot....This is the same thing is all the novels. Its kinda boring,no new plot.

i think Bruce Willis wud suit the role.....asli_badmash wrote:Dan Brown is directing the Da Vinci Code and all the major actors are competing for the lead.

What,I think you got it wrong,Ron Howard is directing it.I heard that Tom Cruise(?),George Clooney,Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe are trying for the lead.
Tom Cruise---No way, this guy doesnt have the intelectual look.
Russel Crowe----Looks like he will get it because he already is staring in 2 of Ron Howards movies and he has a good chance.
George Clooney----He too doesnt have the intelectual look. But he will do okay.
Hugh Jackman---Would fit in the role perfectly if he wasnt that young.
Langdon is supposed to be in mid forties and shouldnt look charming.

My Bad.. you are right. The Jackal wrote:What,I think you got it wrong,Ron Howard is directing it.

Russell Crowe sucks... he is a log of wood.Hugh Jackman is awesome but too young for the role.
The person(s) I would consider for the role of Robert Langdon would be
- Bill Pullman (He has the exact look and the acting skills)
- Pierce Brosnan (Considering his role in The Thomas Crown Affair)
- Liam Neeson (He is an awesome actor)
- Ewan McGregor ( A little on the young side.. but OK)
For the role of Sophie
- Sophie Marceau (She looks like a typical blonde but can manage)
- Natascha McElhone (Truman Show; The Devils Own(Brad pitt + harrison Ford movie) - Perfect for the Movie.
- Cant think of anymore...

You like the foul mouthed Aussie... His acting skills are no way near anything mentionable. I dont understand how he gets casted and recasted. I would rate Cruise better than Crowe.azazel wrote:asli_badmash wrote:Russell Crowe sucks... he is a log of wood.
huh? he's one of my fav. actors n that statement doesnt even deserve a debate

Crowe uses the same type casted emotions for all the characters. A good actor casts himself in the role not the role into himself. We dont want to see him.. we want to see him portray the character.
Samjhe bacchu.. abhi tu baccha hai.. jaane do, yeh sab baatein baad mein seekhinga.

I have seen a few of his movies only but I think his best movie was Gladiator....in other ones like Virtual Reality (or something like that) he didnt quite fit in....asli_badmash wrote:Crowe uses the same type casted emotions for all the characters. i think u r talking abt Virtuosity where he played villian to Denzel Washington....that's quite an old movie when Crowe was hardly known....akhilis2cool wrote:in other ones like Virtual Reality (or something like that) he didnt quite fit in....

Anyway back to the topic.. I am reading Dr. Rafiq Zakaria's " Indian Muslims: Where have they gone Wrong".
Excellent book! I am getting to know a lot of nice things about India and its people that our History books at school didnt talk about. Or did talk about and now I am getting to see all that in a new light.
