it all boils down to tolerence. even if an individual finds homos repulsive, it shud not translate into intolerence and "homophobia" (ie irrational hatered of gays leading to hurting/harming them or discriminating against them).

we shud learn to accept and respect that ppl can be different from us.

Exactly!! I asked some of my gay friends what made them gay.. and they said that they did it just for the heck of it. Back in India, some of my friends were gay because they did not know how to approach a girl, and were sexually frustrated. Genetic problem what crap ... :lol:

some of you are making it sound as if being gay were the easy option, given the amount of shit that gays have had to take, past and present, it seems clear to me that it's not a path people choose, it's a path they choose to accept.

to clarify: is being gay a choice? i think no.

is accepting the fact that you are gay, and sleeping with others of the same sex a choice? obviously yes.

the equasion has on one side

- being an outcast from your community

- dissapointing your parents, possibly being disowned

- risking possible violence, even death

- greater risk of aids

- accepting that you will never have a child born of love

- knowing that you are the final node on your branch of the family tree

and what balances this out? you get to be yourself. i think many people look at the list above (and theres lots more shit that i've left out im sure) and figure that the price to pay for being who you really are is too high, and choose to live a lie their whole lives. i have nothing but respect for the brave ones who knowingly risk it all just to be themselves.

i almost totally agree with Sharjeel on this. ive been ridiculed as a homophobe/intolerant/insensitive guy in this regard but this is my position on the matter. in any case, with the kind of liberties n tolerance they've begun to get these days, i'd go along with "dun care they do, as long as they dun come after me"

Yes, It IS something to get irritated at. Why should I not get worked up about it? And it is not only because of my religion. Being ga is not natural. I have heard that there maybe a genetic disorder behind it.

IMO it is more due to frustrated and insane people who cannot find any vent to their often sadistic overtures, much like drug addicts.

you cannot accuse 12 year old boys or girls realising their sexuality to be homosexual a cause of frustation and result of drug addiction or sadistic overtures. yeah even i wish there aare no homosexuals, and as such no minorities in this world whatsso ever, but since it is not quite ppossible to have it, accpet them. when u can accept ssome one who believes in a diffierent religion that urs, a culture contradictory to yours, opinion contradictiry to yours, whats the deal of accepting a person who has a sexual orientation different to yours.

i guess i was sailing in the same boat as u do right now a few years ago, but when i got to meet some homosexual couples, i realised they love each other as much as we love our partners if not more and that they are nt a pest to the society cos they see life differently.

n how do they come to this realisation? 12 year olds are not even mature enough to realise the consequences of sex/sexuality. if they do turn to homosexuality at that age, i guess it'll mainly be due to bullying or even abuse by adults.

they arent a pest to the society cos they see life differently.

Im pretty friendly with gay guys. I mean, theyre really nice and sweet men. And they dress well and accessorize fabulously! hehehe. I work with 2 gay guys, as a matter of fact.

I dont know if Im being homophobic or what, but when I see lesbians, and believe I know how they look (totally 'butchy': Cropped hair-cut, loose khaki pants, long sleeved obviously men's button-down shirt, wallet in the back pants pocket, and flat leather shoes), I get really uncomfortable. I dont want to be in the same room as a woman who I strongly suspect is homosexual. Why? I dont know! Its not like women make passes at other women, esp in public places, but still.

Im not judgemental or critical of how people are and how they live their lives, so its not that. Im open-minded although in my mind I am pretty certain of what I believe in. I never thrust my ideals and beliefs on others. Live and let live is what I go by.

But this thing I have with lesbian women is probably the way most hetero guys feel about gay men, right? Any views? :!:

i didnt get this, care to explain? my point was AIDS was first reported from the gay community, its most likely that it originated n spread from them to the rest of the ppl affected by it.

i don think AIDS was first reported from gay community, from my knowledge, it spread from primates to humans, now dont ask me the means transport from primates, yeah, but gay people were blamed of spreading it cos of unprotected sex. well, keep the gay people aside, look how the virus is spreading these days among heterosexuals.

and about WMD, it was just a joke.

It all comes down to your choice. :D

Let me present few facts;

- We are all born females, because of one chromosomal difference the male sexual organs develop in the fetus. If this is a medically accepted fact; every time a female is having sex with a male she is actually having sex with a person who in fetal form was female. So should the male be considered a born female? This kind of blurs the definition of sex.

What is sex? If it is defined as exciting your organs to make the body reaches a spasmodical state then male or female anybody can do it. Heck... during masturbation you are having sex with yourself. So are you GAY? Since you are having sex with your KIND?

- With hormones and sex change operation one can change the sex from male to female or vice-versa.If that’s the case... then how do you define a male or a female? Male is some one; let me express it in a Badmash ditty..

Hey bhagvan teri bhi kya maya hai;

kahin dhoop kahin chaya hai;

bandar ke g*nd pe laal lipstick lagaya hai;

dono taango ke beech mein yeh kya latkaya hai. :( :lol:

Getting back to the point anatomically for the cause of furthering our kind male-female organs fit; but getting attracted to a person of particular sex is a choice. Since medically the lines between male and female are so slim; why do we care who is humping whom.

You all just worry about who you want to do! :D

For all and sundry; I ain’t Gay but I don’t mind gays. I say it’s your choice. Do as you please.

To gays I say; You guys are cool. But think about this...You are here because somehow nature has selected your kind to be here (Darwin). Though I don’t understand why nature choose you to be here. I do give you the right to end your genetical variation.

I occasionally chat with a gal... a friend of friend and she is gay who had sex change operation. believe me she is cuter than any of the gals that I know and because she had a operation she got to select the right size of boobs. I would have never known that she was gay just by seeing her.
