news - caught Return Of The New Dragon in the afternoon
views - pretty good action flick from Thailand, save for the atrocious dubbing n extraaa-cheesy title. i mean, if he's the NEW Dragon where'd he goto to return?

:? i thot the actor's name was Tony Jaa. dont tell me the indian distributers gave him this name...The Jackal wrote:Phanom Yeerum

as much as i'd love to, i dun think i can find the original version with sub-titles here. still have to watch Hero, heard its awesome tho. perhaps, the best Jet Li movie in years. just saw one battle-scene at a pal's place, with the arrows being shotbeautiful!
dubbing reduces the intended impact esp. if its done in the way it was done for ROTND

The Jackal wrote:Hero is awesome. The photography and costumes are superb.I loved the way the director used different color schemes to explain the scenes.
Didnt you say your on cable. Why dont you download it from Kazza or Suprnova?
Yeah the arrow scenes were awesome.I heard its the most expensive chineese movie. Some people are comparing it with CTHD but this movie is completely different.
People always ask why Indian films dont make it to the oscars. Thats because they never make movies like this.![]()

thats true...look at movies like Raghu Romeo and Maqbool.....they deserved a 100 day run each....azazel wrote:...its not like creatively evolved/praise-worthy movies arent made at all. in a country where hundreds n hundreds of movies are made every year, its probable that the best movies dun get the audience that they should.

Maqbool's a masterpiece...try to get the CD or wait for it to play on TV....azazel wrote:thats what i mean, even i didnt get to watch Maqbool coz of its limited run in the cinemas. Raghu Romeo was prolly the best hindi movie ive seen recently.CtrlAltDel wrote:thats true...look at movies like Raghu Romeo and Maqbool.....they deserved a 100 day run each....
