There was a case in US recently, where the Guy responsible for burning the corpses was just dumping them in the backyard of the cemetary. People were appaled... I guess he was declared insane and confined.



There was a case in India, in Bengal I think; where the guy would dig out fresh corpses and violate them. Sick!



The evil dictator Idi Amin cut up people and kept parts in his fridge to eat them later. That guy was really sick.



Recently in Germany, A person gave an Ad in the newspaper asking for someone who he can cut up and eat. A software Engineer applied and offered himself to the guy to be eaten. They concluded the act. They guy who ate the other person was later arrested.

I am very sorry to say this, but so-called 'Sadhus' do this regularly. Especially in Varanasi and other ermit places where these type of sadhus abound. They go around smoking dope, and whenever they see a funeral, which has just started burning, or has just finished burning, they break off peieces of the smoldering flesh and eat them.



Generally the relatives of dead people pay up huge sums of money to them to make them stay away from the funerals. I read this in Time magazine, about 5-6 years back.

this isnt something new dude. grave-robbery has been in existence for a long time, prolly since the 17th century. but, such happenings in India, are definitely a cause of concern hell, the whole medical profession has become a worrying factor these days.

Thats not true. The aghori sadhus dont eat bodies from the funeral pyre, but eat half burnt bodies that drift down ganga. It is a custom among some North Indians that bodies are not allowed to burn completely, instead half burnt bodies are released into river which would be eaten by animals whenever they drift to shore (Just like the parsi cremation where the bodies are left for vultures to eat). It is these bodies that the aghori sadhus eat. The funda behind it is that nothing in thsi gods world should disgust the sadhu... I heard that they start with eating shit (just the thought of it is revolting) and end with eating corpses and once they reach that stage, they dont hate anything.

na, from the documenatry i ve seen on national geographic once, the agories eat from the funeral pyre, the burning bodies while they are still red hot and the thing is that they are nt supposed to touch them, so they eat it directly with their mouths. it is a custom that the relatives of the dead have to leave the burning body once the skull is cracked. and these agoris come in then.

the worst thing that the people dont chase them away fearing that the agoris will curse them. these curses are believed to be very strong.
