Hitch-Hiker's Guide Goes On Air!

by Fiddler » Tue Sep 14, 2004 10:30 am

For all Douglas Adams fans, this is a must-see!

And for all you other deprived mortals out there, the humour's incredible, the people are good-looking and - best of all - it's free!

Theatreworks, the group that did 'Bits of Fry and Laurie', 'Public Eye' and, more recently, 'Schroedinger and Pandora' now presents a reading of excerpts from

Douglas Adams' Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (adapted for BBC Radio)

The Date: Friday the 17th

The Time: 7:00 pm

The Venue: Vidya Ranya School

Please to arrive on time, or even early, as the hall has a limited seating capacity and, since there's no entry fee, it's first come-first served (CAD, I'd appreciate no cracks from you at this point :) )

Also, this is a READING, so the only histrionics will be verbal.

Arrive, and experience man and machine sharing in the stimulating exchange ofAAAAAAAARGGGGGHH...

People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.
I used to care, but things have changed.

Am gonna try making it... Only thing scaring me off is that "first come first serve" clause!

**reminsces**

Lets just say the last time i went to a play was a pretty forgettable affair.

For the benefit all those who don't really take the time to actually READ what's been posted ;)

It's a READING guys, not a play. It means that people are going to be reading from scripts. There's going to be talk, there's going to be sound effects, but NO acting (apart from what acting you can do with just your voice...)

The guys are doing it just for the pleasure of performing for an audience, hence the lack of entry fee. Therefore the first-come, first served clause.
