HOOTERS coming to INDIA

After reading all the previous posts [thanks], my two cents:

On one hand, the traditional-desi-patriot in me is revolted by the idea of Hooters and their culture coming to [the huge market of] India. I think there is a line that India cannot cross because we are not of that culture type or economy type, whatever you want to call it. And personally, I take this business as an offense against the sisterhood.

On the flip side, maybe this is exactly what we need to open our eyes to. We have everything and more that is shows the society's dark nature but it is all in shadows. Everything unusual is forbidden conversation, this generation needs to wake up to universe outside their well and see how big the ocean truly is. Hooters will be the first to attempt to penetrate the iron walls of this traditional Indian-ness and maybe others will follow in the wake of its success.

One thing is for sure, there will be an uproar when the show begins.
