I, Stingrae a.k.a D.Payne, invite all of yous to the college festa of da decada. Byasikally, its called Carpe Diem see? It be on C.B.I.T campus, Gandipet only.



Ok, enough with the accented crap. September 4th,2004, this Saturday, CBIT Campus. The event is Carpe Diem, our Alumni Fest. Completely organised by us, the students of CBIT. It is big, very big. I shall not trumpet anymore about this event, just a small reminder of the last Carpe Diem. I was in first year then, it KICKED butt is all I can say. We had Euphoria performing in the night (old news now), and a bluddy good food festival. I won the Trivia quiz too..:p



Onto final year, me be heading this commitee and THAT commitee too. Wokay, now to the events.



Day starts at 10 AM.



Slash 11:00 AM onwards. This is THE Rock competition. Judged by Motherjane AND Alter Egoz. Motherjane, to the uninitiated, is from Cochin. Those who know, be there...those who don't, heck, BE THERE! Shall put up a list of the bands competing too in a short while.

The winner of this, gets to jam in the night (6:30PM onwards) along with Motherjane in front of a crowd of 10,000 peoples. That is, after the opening act by Alter Egoz.



SCREAM Two words. DJ NASHA. To all those freaks who apparently revel in dancing in the afternoon, this is the DJ Mix to be at. DJ Nasha from 2:30PM onwards. Dancefreaks, this is your heaven.



SILK Shankar Mahadevan, Sivamani, Louis Banks, Karl Peters and Sridhar Parthasarathy. This is the main draw, I dun feel like sayin much about it. The names should speak for themselves.



The OTHER events for the day be :



JAM :D all new moderators this time 'round. Expect the usual crowd, only in a MUCH bigger assembly hall.



Impromptu : on the lines of "whose line is it anyway?"....hmmm



Gang Wars : silly record thod-ish stuff..shud be hazaar fun...


Qu?z : doh...do i need to say stuff? hmm..we shall hav both trivia n techie shits...



The RUSH : a treasure hunt with a twist...expect the unexpected :p :p


Starstruck : meet a celebrity...play out your own "rendevous with simi garewal" thingy...surprise!



Jive..a dance workshop...in the morning...



Mr . n Ms. Carpe Diem.....



aaand....Theatrix (A drama competition)...all light amateur playwrights and actors..get in here!!! registrations are OPEN for all !



aaaaaand...food throughout the day...chinese, italian, mexican, biriyani, popcorn, kebabs, mocktails, pizzas......u name it...you shall eat it...:p



Tickets at Rs.90, Rs.250(couple) and Rs.500 (couple)...Couple meaning two guys or two girls too...we at CBIT are very open-minded folks u see...:p

Me saw Louis Banks play with Taufeeq Qureshi and Sabir Khan with Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia's nephew at Falaknuma Palace a coupla a years ago. The music they made was divine. Me is looking forward to see him play again.

for a college that is around 20 km from civilisation and for a show that is (supposedly) gonna start at 2000 hr and which cd go on upto midnite, 500 bucks is frikkin expensive!!!
