by sri » Fri Aug 13, 2004 1:41 am

Can anyone suggest good daycares where they teach discipline and manners for my 18 month old dAUGHTER IN HYDERABAD . My daughter is going to be in himayatnagar with her gran d parents for some time. I dont want her to be pampered and become stubborn with all the attention that she gets at her granparents house.

currently we are in usa.due to my busy job scheduke iam planning to send her to india for some time

What discipline and manners can be taught to a 18 month old girl :? Isnt it too young to teach discipline?

On topic: I have no idea, sorry.

I know of kids who turn out to be stubborn and arrogant since right from childhood parents give whatever they ask for. So eventually they never shrae anything with other children. For eg my daughter she wants to

play with food all the time and throw it on the carpet. Since she cries like hell if i dont let her do that I let her do it.

IF ther ewere someone to disci[line her may be she will not do that in future.

No hard feelings Sri. But is it not what Kids are supposed to do!!!

Let her do that, she will grow out of it. Wait until 5, if she continues then probably you need corrective action!

Pampering is not bad at all !!!

Its fortunate that your kid will get it, history has shown that pampered kids turn out to be compassionate.

Take it easy!!! Let her enjoy her childhood.

Not that Day care will harm her. Look for day care if its gonna be a pain for her grand parents to care for all day.

naah..... that was quite obv a typo.....

on topic: Why not just ask the grandparents to be a little less pampering.. probably give them some rules of your own... bedtime, etc.

I'm sure staying with grandparents will be better than daycare...... unless you manage to find a REALLY GOOD place (which I doubt).
