ROTFLMAO!!!!! As aforementioned, tolling is the best part.......what say, CAD? You'd know that better than we do.

Maybe that should be: That depends whom the bell tolls for... which sounds more gramatical, but less mysterious & impressive.

Yeah, yeah I know I quoted myself .

The tolling reminded me of a schooltime joke. Not worth mentioning here.

Nothing, really..... he was trying to reply to his original thread and posted instead.

I don't have any experience of Hyderabad colleges at all.

but all I could make out was (and this holds true for all colleges south of the Vindhyas except for premier institutions like IIT's, IIM's, NIT's etc.)....The studies imparted are hardly practical in nature. All that matters is bookish knowledge and that too only in a theoretical sense. This gives rise to cramming up everything and puking it out in the exams.

A very good example is this interview I had with a candidate for an entry level position in the BPO industry. I'm quoting part of the interview for some humour quotient in this thread. And this is representative of a majority of the junta around.

Me : What subjects did you study in your graduation?

Him : All regular subjects sir.

Me : What are the regular subjects?

Him : The usual sir. Economics, Commerce, Maths

Me : Did you like studying those subjects? Were they interesting?

Him : Yes sir. I used to like them a lot.

Me : What was your favourite subject?

Him : Economics sir.

Me : Which topic in Economics did you like the most?

Him : (smiled for a couple of seconds)

Me : Your favourite topic!!

Him : Actually sir, I have not been in touch sir.

I was simply flabbergasted at this response. This was an answer I was getting from someone who had graduated just last year. And then people pick on blondes.
