You were the one who brought up protesting, by saying

dumpster wrote:and mr marko, u r free to hold protests against DP in ur country. u can walk upto washington DC and hold placards against bush.. dats how it works there. and dat is why u have more crime in USA than in india[u].

I have been responding to that.

Also on your post about Gandhi,
Gandhiji was talking about CHANGE change of government and kicking out of white foren rulers who r stamping on my indian brothers so cruelly

Exactly. But rulers don't have to be white and foreign to be cruel. If you trust your government simply because they've got the same skin colour as you, then good luck!

what do u know about india and her struggle for freedom???

do u know that the british rulers stole away millions of pounds of jewellery and diamonds from india and till now did not return them back??? if england returns even half of what they took and are storing in their British museums, India will at least regain part of her lost glory.

fyi, india is the only country here which has never invaded any land, unlike the british where the sun never sets on the british empire and "indians and dogs are not allowed".

Now who's getting "senti"! Your not making sense at the moment bud, you were arguing against protest against the government but one of the best examples of this in the 20th century gave rise to your nation.

FYI, India is not the only country which has not invaded any other land, there are many others. Mine, for 1.

yes we wanted "change" by being our own rulers and not listening to ppl like Winston Churchill who said indians cannot take care of themselves.. they need us to control them.

FYI, India is not the only country which has not invaded any other land, there are many others. Mine, for 1.

if you really want to know then do a search. i've already introduced myself.

I'm not going to post on this thread again, but to sum up what i've been saying, if you truely believe that your nation is great, then it's up to you to make sure the government keeps it that way. if you really believe the way forward is to sit back, wait for the government to change, and not get involved then you have no grasp of history. I'll leave you with a nice little quote from a man who did not trust his govenment, and for good reason.

Pastor Niemöller wrote:'First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist, so I said nothing.
Then they came for the Social Democrats, but I was not a Social Democrat, so I did nothing.
Then came the trade unionists, but I was not a trade unionist.
And then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew, so I did little.
Then when they came for me, there was no one left to stand up for me.'

hey cad and mm how r u guyz doing? for da last time, who is this archana? and why do you keep calling me archana? i'm a guy (sorry i won't tell my real name) and its annoying to relate me to someone you used to know. :x :x

anyway about marko's message, its just that i don't want someone coming out of nowhere and preaching us about capital punishment when they were the ones to do much crap like Jalianwallah Bagh incident and other massacres. was that not capital punishment of a kind where so many innocent ppl lost their lives?? and now they want to preach to us about saving human lives hahaha :D :D :D :D

the man in question is a rapist and murderer of a 14 yr old girl. if this happened in the US he would be executed by now. india has to adpot a middle-east approach to rapists so that they won't repeat it..

The man:

Image

The motive behind the rape.

The news, broken first by inspector-general (prisons) Jaydeb Chakraborty at Writers' Buildings, appears to have brought the curtains down on a protracted battle — sometimes in court and sometimes inside Rashtrapati Bhavan — to save the security guard who wreaked a perverse revenge on schoolgoer Hetal Parekh for complaining to her father against his lewd passes. The revenge he took was unlike most other brutal-as-theycome rape-and-kill cases; he first raped her, then strangled her and then raped her again — after she had died. This was on March 5, 1990.

I think he should be hanged twice

hey, haven't looked here in a while, missed this.

You misunderstood man, I wasn't saying what i think

should be done in this case, i was saying that this thread

shouldn't belong in the problems section

(or at least that it's not out of place here,

according to the description of the board)

It was unclear from the bit i quoted which i

was responding to, sorry.

On a final note, i won't weep any tears for the

death of this guy, from what i've read he deserves

to be killed 10 times over, as does any rapist killer.

I don't see this as inconsistant with my argument however.

you guys probably will.

I won't be tricked into defending serial killers/rapists

just cos I oppose the death penalty, just as I won't be tricked into supporting terrorism just cos i oppose aggressive imperialism.
