Prasad multiplex in really coming excellent.

10 years back when I was a Medical student I had the opportunity to see Spensor plaza in Chennai for the first time.I got surprised and happy to be in a good atmosphere.

I have the same feelings now after spending time in this mega prasad complex.

They are trying to make it as a good shopping center of Spensors level.

But i think they are following the dirty business trick of closing the telebooking counter for a particular movie one hour before the show.

This must be a business trick giving real head ache to a number of movie lovers.

But in any way I am happy.

ye L.V. Prasad eye hospital ke baare me sunaa tha.. Prasads is also owned by the same ppl kya

its true, that they're doing excellent business and they have some really sharp minds working for the smooth running of the show.. my only problem with them is the pricing of the tickets. The rows infront should be priced a lil' lower

yes...the same L.V.Prasad group. they are mainly into films/entertainment and the hospital is one of their philanthropic ventures.

have u seen the prices of multiplexes in other cities? Prasads is way cheaper than them. luxury does not come cheap. multiplexes are not supposed to have more than one class, so a different ticket price for front rows is out of question.

a serious negative abt Prasad's is the internet/telephone ticket booking system. its lousy and ill planned. whats the point of booking tickets from home/work if we have to go one hour before to collect the tickets? and they shud start accepting credit cards at the box office if not on the web site.

they shud learn from the sexy internet booking system of PVR multiplex chain at Delhi. btw, PVR is coming soon to hyderabad at Punjagutta along with few other multiplexes. some competition among multiplexes wud be good for us.

partly true...distributors take cinemas on rent to screen films and the ticket collection goes to distributor after deducting tax and small user charges for the hall.

the rent is not fixed. it varies depending on the film, its success/failure, number of weeks screened and many other parameters. so if films are not doing well, the rents fall and the theaters also suffer. so is the case if ppl see films on VCD/DVD/Cable... thats why theaters close and distributors go bankrupt.

Honestly, what is so good about Prasad's? There is no leg room, the urinals do not have partitions, and the damn air-conditioning chills your bones. The food is damn costly, the people thronging it are the neo-rich - all money and no brains.

dude, kya hua yaar? didnt get the tickets kya?

Leg Room is aplenty 'cept the Imax..

Urinals are prolly the cleanest u can find in any damn theater..

Air-Conditioning is a slight problem, perhaps the heat in hell is making it worse for ya :P

Food is as costly as the place u eat it in.. u see, even they have to pay off the rent..

not everyone is neo-rich as u say, lotsa ppl there just for chumma timepass.. not muah

hau bhai...Sangeet as we know it wud close in abt 3-4 months and in 2 yrs a spanking new multiplex wud stand there.
Lucifer wrote:There is no leg room
only HiTech and Sensation have the leg room u must be thinking abt. Prasad's as good as any i have seen abroad.
Lucifer wrote:the urinals do not have partitions
...ya...they copied that frm abroad. In australia NO urinal has a partition. all stand together and pee on a metal wall (not even a bowl) :?
Lucifer wrote:the damn air-conditioning chills your bones.
at least they dont switch it off...kya bhai...A/C hai tho complaints, nahi hai tho bhi complaints :?

i beg to differ...neo-rich have money coz they have the brains for it. neo-rich do not inherit wealth, they earn it.

I thought the main problem at prasads was at the escalators, man people debate whether to go on the damn thing or to walk up the stairs. This really irritates me.I always take the damn stairs because people even get off the escalators slowely.

Prasads is fine, its *almost* on par with the multiplexes in dubai, and the tickets are reasonably priced.

60/- is not expensive yaar considering the luxurious surroundings and the beautiful chicks around u....the next most expensive is HiTech with 50/- i think and even that has a great ambience (but sadly a lousy choice of movies...)
