get your Figures right. only 27% of indians voted for the Congress party. and 25% voted for the BJP. no other party got more than 10% of the vote... what it tells you is, india as a whole didnt root for this goverment to come to power.

550 politicians do not exploit more than 50% of the voters, but a rag-tag combination of 270-300 politicians (the simple majority) exploit more than 50% of the voters. this happens because of post-electoral and regional alliances.

moreover, note that voter turn-out is only 60% in india. 60 crore people vote and decide the future of 100 crore people. but among the BC/SC/ST's the vote percentage is higher, because they are promised money and reservations as a bribe for their vote. their votes are Bought, not Earned. if parties don't include "5% reservation for caste X" in their portfolio, but instead announce these populist measures after coming to power.... that would denote that they are truly well-intentioned.

what solution do u have for fake caste certificates? we can apply the same solution here too.

all laws have loop holes, thats why lawyers exist. if u r opposing this idea of reservation on economic status just coz of loop holes, i think u r arguing for arguement sake
