ex: engineering n medical colleges in state.....in the cities, how many caste ghettos are present in ur HiTech city ?



how many times u, or ur family member has asked others "what is ur caste?" and this question my friend for a BC/SC/ST guy sucks and it sucks big-time



2.) economic reservations are not the solution.



ex: abuse of scholarships by rich people, they get a cheap low income certificate, coz they are not in govt services.





3.) How do u serve T/food to ur servant maid at home ? separate utensils and leftovers ?

U are seeing only those children of govt officers in cities who are again benifiting from reservations after their parents. what abt many many of those who come from small towns and villages who are the 1st among there famly to utilise the reservation..........these people are large in number than the people in cities.....





do u have a solution for the upliftment of the down-trodden.



and btw, rules are made by past experiences only...........its only less than 60 yrs since Independence.......

Yes it hasn't been. It'll take some time to eradicate them too. I don't see reservations as a solution to that. When i was young I did not know my caste. The first time I knew my caste was when our school had to submit our information for SSC. So by birth I wasn't a racist, my parents did not teach me to be racist. I am not racist now, but then every time I see someone with quota ( minorities/women) I feel I've been cheated. Does that make me racist?

Never, and I am sure most people don't. Besides why should they be ashamed of their caste? The only reason they gotta be ashamed of is because they have it the easy way ... I don't see any other reason. Nobody is ashamed of their own religion/caste/sect.

Rich people exploiting quotas simply because they are classified SC/ST/BC is ok??? Every system has a loophole. One must try to eliminiate them if possible.

Maybe at your place. Besides do people who belong to backward classes embrace their servants/maids and share the same plate every other day?
I think not, everybody thinks about hygiene. You wudn't let your own brother share food with you if he's dirty. That doesn't justify having a quota.

As long as they are economically well off .. they don't deserve any quota. If they are poor, the idea of economic reservations stands.

1) it has been eradicated to a large extent. its like saying racism in america has not been eradicated. yes, there are some whites who still don't treat blacks as equals, and there are odd ones out in india as well. overall, the country and countrymen do not practise it.



2) leftovers, because the servant maids job description is to serve... they have to eat after everyone else. every arabian family here has servant maids in their house - either filipino, lankan or indian. they are treated in a worse way than the servants in indian households. in india, loyal servants who serve from a long time are given respect, given help when he/she has family probs.... they almost become part of the family if they are good.

People even if the browser says it did not post.... the message it actually is posted. The FHDB server is not sending the proper confirm page back, hence "the server not found" page is shown.

why do u feel reservations on economic status is bad? it wud cover most of the "backward" castes anyway since most of them are poor and it would also help ppl of "forward" caste who are poor. the current reservation model also unfairly helps rich ppl among the "backwards".

the reservation shud be used as a tool for upliftment of the poor so that they get a chance to improve their life.

i will give an example. let us assume for a moment that u come from a poor "backward" family who used reservation to come up in life. it is justified too. now u r settled abroad and doing well. if u come back to india is it justified for your kids to enjoy reservation just bcoz of caste? there are 100s of live examples of this. when i was in college, rich students from SCs or STs had to pay just nominal or no fees while very poor students from forward castes had to borrow money even to pay exam fees. is this fair?



i wont buy the arguement that the government is trying to do good to the backwards thru reservation. if this was the case, why didnt the reservations help all these decades? these decisions are purely political decisions to create and maintain a "vote-bank".
