This is mainly directed to all males on DB:



Is it better to have more hair on your head? I have seen some bald by choice people; who obviously do not care in particular. The longest some have is of army standards. I am not talking people of old age.



People have an inclination to trust more attractive people. Are you like that? I will admit that I am in certain situations. This certainly does not mean that I deter myself against bald people. I think I am friendlier to someone introduced by a close friend; even if they are bald and dress like a punk.



On the other side, is it manlier to have more hair? Sometimes, being hairier is more of a disadvantage [unless, you want to be blessed with Anil Kapoor’s hairy back and arms]. What do you feel about mustaches and beard? Does that factor influence your friendliness?

I'll start from top to bottom.



Sir ke baal : I don't think you'll have too many people who'd want to be bald out of choice save someone like Yul Brynner or his ilk. Most of the time, its either something you can't help or something that you cannot do without. I personally prefer shorter hair that's easier to maintain. Shayad army upbringing ka nateeja hai.



Facial hair : In the immortal words of Utpal Dutt from Golmaal : A person's moustache is an indication of his character. LOL.....UD was extremely funny. My personal preference for facial hair has changed from time to time. I've sported different looks viz. clean shaven, french cut, a goatee on the lower lip (long before Aamir Khan immortalised the dadhistyle) and an unkempt Humanities student look (sorry for the cliche if it offended anyone). My current look is a decent trimmed moustache, shaved beard one.



Body hair : Sab bhagwaan ke upar chhod diya. Ab uski marzi jaise baal dene hain waise de. Although I'm not an Anil Kapoor, I still have a decent amount of chest hair.

I think its a universal tendency for people to trust attractive people. Baldness doesnt equate to unattractiveness though. Infact, I think some men with receding hairlines look pretty nice. They look trustworthy and decent.

well...me had a hairloss problem that i controlled effectively with a home made ayurvedic medicine from my neighbor who is a part time ayurvedic doctor.
the popular impression is that its manlier to have more hair since testosterone causes hair growth. it all depends on what the ladies like. some ladies prefer hairy guys n some dont.
facially i am usually clean shaven, tho on occassions i suddenly decide to grow a french beard or a ful beard, much to my familys despair! but i feel having a clean shaven face removes at least 5 years from a man's age... ... havent u studied biology in school? quanity of hair is dependent on testosterone in the body. but remember that lesser testosterone does not mean the person is less manly. just the physical nature of the body would be different.
