Muttaiah Muralitharan, the World’s Leading wicket Taker, is in England. His has been practicing his bowling, including his doosra, with a brace designed by Dr Mandeep Dhillon, formely of Chandigarh and currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Colombo’s Apollo Hospital. Sister Nivedita, was seated at the left side of Swamiji’s body, steadily fanning his head with a palm-leaf fan. Tears were trickling down her cheeks … A devotee sang a few songs melodiously … Nivedita listened to these songs with all her attention. Pent-up emotions overflowed from her heart and began to flow from her eyes as tears. It was an unforgettable and sad scene … On that day the expression on Nivedita’s face told me how wounded was her lost and sad heart! It truly stirred my consciousness. The Rare “Blue Moon” - Second Full Moon, in its usual pearly white hue, in the same Calendar Month - may be witnessed Tonight beginning slightly after 6 PM to next morning around 4 AM.

The last such occurrence happened in Nov 2001. In 1999 two “Blue Moons” occurred on 1 & 31 Jan and 2 & 31 Mar - an event that happens only Four Times in a Century!

There are roughly 29.5 days between Full Moons, hence it is unusual for Two Full Moons to ‘fit’ into a 30 or 31 Day Month.

AP may receive 40 TMC Water in the Next Few Days. The Downstream of River Krishna received Good Rains as the Inflows into Prakasam Barrage from River Munneru was around 6,000 Cusecs. After a relatively dry monsoon and empty reservoirs - “Drought” - it is now a case of “Floods” … As the inflows into the Almatti Reservoir continued - of 1.2 Lakh Cusecs line one night 3 / 4 Aug – the Discharges were 1,35,439 Cusecs. At Narayanpur, all 30 Crest Gates were lifted to allow outflow of 1.44 Lakh Cusecs … to flow into the Jurala Project in Mahbubnagar District.
