I was recently watching David Blain on Star. I wondered how a man can give life to a dead bird! Yah, he showed it. If any of you have seen that magic, illusion of our eyes or whatever; literally David, going on his way, picks up a dead bird from under a tree, and after a moment the bird flicks in his hands to fly. Was that a magic? The bird was dead then when he picks it and you know a bird cannot be trained to act as dead. It was hard to find a trick there.

True, we hardly understand the secretes that these magicians mastered. I know there may be a big theory there and their lifetime practice, but we deserve to understand at least a little bit of it. Always gets an answer – Illusion. What does your common sense says about an illusion? I can find no one to give perfect explanations about how the magic governs your eyes/mind. I feel I may probably get a few accurate answers here. Just to exploit more.

U can say anything you know about the possibilities of magic, just anything...

That many magicians can do. Blaine, I think, is very accurate in doing any magic. I saw that him dropping a key in a drainage and that key is found on the side of the road. And in what condition? Sealed in a bottle! Maybe that’s a trick but street magic is always his side interest. Whatever he does he wants it to be in a unique manner.

mmm.. so what do u think he did??

David Blaine is extremely good at what he does.. which is plain illusions performed to a high degree of perfection ..other than that, i dun think there's anything super-natural in what he does.. the most effective part of his act is the "in-yer-face" approach to magic tricks, he gets u too fast for u to react in any way..

Yeh, even I don’t believe there is anything super-natural in that. Otherwise, these babas and all road magicians would have been our leaders.

With whatever we are shown, we tend to understand it a magic out of thrill, at least for a moment. Illusion is a perception of a false image or images which magicians generate with their expertise practice on specific area, which they never teach you even if you threat them to kill otherwise. This is their policy and first rule to stand for their profession. PC Sorcor Sr. had practiced 100s of times to be perfect in even a small show. So there is nothing celestial in it.

The most awesome to me was when India's world famous monument - Taj Mahal was "vanished" for over two minutes, leaving police, local officials and the media stunned, reported the Hindu newspaper.

The "disappearance" of the elegant 16th century monument was part of a performance by well known Indian magician P.C. Sorcar. He performed the feat from a distance of 400 metres. Such a performance was the first by Sorcar since 1992, when he made a running train disappear. That fetches him a fame all over the world.

"I just kept the Taj away from your eyes. It was a perfect illusion. I don't possess any supernatural powers... this is the science of controlling the mind and willpower to create a psychic balance with the environment," Sorcar said.

A bird can be trained to speak, pick things, recognize colors, it can remember routs, and things... Haven't heard of a bird acting as dead. I dont know what methodology he uses with certain magics he does.
