Hope I haven't stepped on any toes here, but I meant that drinking is better in the context that it is not readily available like a pack of cigs.

Therefore, one hopes that this makes people drink occasionally not frequently.

Thats the only difference - u cant carry a bottle of vodka wherever u go unlike a pack of cigarettes, but that doesnt make you an occassional drinker. You can store it at home, office and get drunk everyday or just go to a bar on your way to home.

for the record, i dont smoke but i do enjoy an occassional drink of Rum, Vodka or Scotch. I've almost stopped Beer coz of its ill-effects.

Smoking is harmful whether u r moderate or a chain smoker, just the degree varies. but unless one is a drunkard, alchohol doesnt harm the body much. of corz drinking n driving s a sure recipie for accidents.
