I sometimes feel sad that old Gentlemen like

KULCHA HYDERABADI,

LUCIFER IN DISGUISE,

SRINU,

NEERAJ,

SHAHED,

......Many more GENTLEMEN

have disappeared.

There was enough stuff in their discussions.

Hope they will come back.

Dont mean to barge in, but this is the 1500th thread in the Welcome To Hyderabadi Planet forum :D
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

Those days

by Peeping tom entry batch 2002 » Wed Jun 23, 2004 8:07 pm

Mr Kulcha hyderabadi happened to be an excellent, interesting, soft hearted writer. He never hurt anybody. Never gave any spam type messages.FH has lost him.

Lucifer in disguise
used to be a practical man. Unfortunately after some religeous war he just disappered. May be in agony.

Shahed also used to be a decent and up to the mark man.

Neeraj used very simple English, His ideas were sympathetic towards society.

Now a days especially in the year 2004, people try to increse their post counts shamlessly.

I take affront to this generalisation.

I have a slightly different point of view on the spam/sense issue though. Something I had put up in another thread a few days ago. Will find it and post the link here.

I feel that the younger crowd enjoys the light hearted repartee; the deadpans and the jokes more while the elder crowd is more into serious stuff. There are, of course, some people who enjoy being in both boats, like yours truly but that population is minor. And the last thing we need on the DB's is a war of generations.

I request members to exercise some restraint in this regard. The "spammer" junta should take care not to display their talents in threads that have some sensible discussion going on and the serious people should leave spam threads alone. I do that. Infact, I've never even opened either of the post count boosting threads. It's not all that difficult. Unnecessary friction will just spoil the liveliness of the boards and will result in more people leaving.

That was my $0.02.

Yeah lots of articulate people in the past but the new entrants give me my share of laughs sometimes so I'm not complaining.

Thought there was a lady called Neeraja whom most guys treated with kid-gloves! She was one lady who called a spade a spade and there'd be lots of expanations by the men folk that went 'Neeraja gaaru......' , 'Madam Neeraja.....' !!

I did read some posts by Neeraja and she seemed too much of a dominatrix to me. Not the kind of person I'd really love to converse with.

Thats the point HP. She belonged to the older generation and believed (or so it seemed) that things were either black or white. No grey areas. People (read men) would get on the defensive while talking to her on the DBs!

PS Yeah to the average congenial person she didn't seem like 'easy-to-get-along' company but hell how much of the real person comes through on these Boards? Maybe she's a nice and straightforward person in real life!

sorry again PT...Neeraja sounds interesting....i wonder how people can allow themselves to be dominated or intimidated by an online person....:?

i mean...i know if i got into a cat-fight/Cursefest wit AR/Lucy/Jasz/CN/HP n some others i would definitely be at d receiving end of d curses most of d time...but does it actually warrant callin ppls "madam"??!

Ohh... how I miss her. Arguing with her was fun and I used to adress her as "neeraja ji". Recently came to know that she is not female but male!! But who cares?

I remember reading one of her posts, abt how get my husband to love me....(or some thing like that), and she(or he) advised the lady in distress to dress up like a heroine daily to lure her husband into loving her... dat was a funny post

May be... I dont remember, I admired her and still do..... always liked the way she defended her posts.

(to all ye perverts out there she is a 40 - 45ish old)

I am not really sure abt neeraja being a guy, I regret making that comment. She posted her email ID in one of the threads, it had a male name and hence the allegation (she said that its her husbands email ID).

Now that you mention it MM, yeah she did post her id on the Board and yes I think it was her husband's. She was definitely female and yeah CAD she'd have a helluva lot to say looking at aajkal ke 'potte-pottiyan'! :-)

PS I belong to the same generation people, but I sometimes think people have gone berserk with the freedom they've been given(no reference to the DBs). Maybe I'm a tad conservative/old fashioned in my views....

I resent your signature, Sir. A direct ripoff from my first signature on the new version of the DB's.
