It is a sad song but it portrays the truth. How many times has somebody asked u for help and you have clearly rejected or ignored the person?? Come on!! None of us is a saint. And it is a lovely song.

for some reason George Michael's "Careless Whispers" brings a lump to my throat....tho its not a sad song....so does Engelbert's "Please Let me Go"

Pearl Jam's Present Tense is a great song...check out the lyrics,
