Cross your heart and tell me CAD....what is the first impression when you see a man alighting from the rear seat of a black merc?

You can never bring out the same feeling in someone by alighting out of a beemer or a ferrari or talking of tuffs, even the tuffest cruiser. A black Merc means power and no other car can match it on that.

true. Diamler has cultivated an image of a Merc as a car for the rich n powerful. most of the customers are in the age group i mentioned above and nearly always have a chauffuer (spell?). Its not the car for the young or young at heart. on the contrary BMW has cultivated an image of a successful jet setting young/middle-aged man for its clientele and most of the beemers are self driven. inspite of this a beemer retains the tag of exclusivity...but with a difference, similar to Jaguar

'corz not....bright red n yellow are sporty colors n give an illusion of going fast. thats why sports cars usually are of these colors. similarly bright Red n Yellow do not suit cars that dont have a sporty look.

Black n Silver are the coolest looking colors...sports car or not...

That's true. But there was a survey done a few years back in Europe and that's what most people thought. That's sort of become ingrained in people's mindset now and that's why most sports cars are red...

I have a silver car too, its an Accord and I love it.

Next in line for me is a silver Infiniti. Or black even. I dont want 2 cars of the same color.

My first car was a good old second hand Premier Padmini. The car rocked. Too bad I don't have it anymore. My next car would be....hmmm...not yet decided.

My dream car, though, is the Goldfinger Aston Martin. I've finally got over the Merc trip...thanx to CAD's repositioning of the Merc in my mind.

No matter what CAD said, Mercedes are hot cars. Its a sophisticated and classy looking car. Only a successful and intelligent man is seen driving it. Tinted windows, leather interior. Its an examplary car. An ideal car---If you can afford it.

Yeah, the owners are usually in their late 40's.

But we, the Y Generation can change that!

btw, i dont consider the C-Class a proper Merc....its just an attempt to capture the young market. going by the tepid response its getting, the youngsters are wiser. just banks on the the 3-Pointed Star.
