Routine for the day

by Habitual Perfectionist » Tue Jun 15, 2004 9:07 pm

Just wanted to know how you all spend a normal day in your life. My routine right now is totally effed up due to various reasons. Anyways, here goes how I spend my day.

The question is...where do I start from?

I have no daily routine cuz it changes everyday. I mean, normal stuff like making breakfast, (we dont do lunch at home) and dinner usually is done at around the same time everyday.

But I have classes some days of the week, then theres other things to do like shop, pay bills, da-da-da, da-da...... normal crap like that.

Every day is a new day :) And I prefer it this way. Cuz I get bored easily.

On any given day, my schedule is packed and busy. But here is a look:

~6:00 am - wake up, although the alarm is set on 5:30, I keep hitting snooze.

~Get dressed and head for Comp Info Sys lecture/lab- lasts 4.5 hours (usually during class, I sneak in time to get on FullHyd.com)

~After class, I go home eat/study/pray/watch the latest news and 30 minute meals with Racheal Ray

~Then head out for my evening class - lasts 3.5 hours

~Go to work after class, finish the accounting work, close

~Go home, eat and watch tv. Talk to Alexis, mom and dad on the phone.

This is how it looks on most days of the week, the weekend is a different story.

I know! Me too.

Im a spontaneous person who likes to do stuff when I feel like it. But that doesnt mean I dont get the things that are important done on time. I do those regardless of how I feel or would rather do.

My weekdays schedule would go thus...

5:30-5:45 am - Leave office.

6:00-6:45 am - Freshen up n get ready.

7:00-11:00 am - Run through my freelance training assignments.

11:30 am - 4:30 pm - Sleep

4:30 - 5:00 pm - Freshen up n get ready.

5:30 pm - Start at work again.

This is a temporary phase where I am doing 12 hour shifts. Luckily it gets over this week. From next week onwards, I'm back to my normal 7 hour shifts and divide the rest of the available time for pursiung my hobbies.

My weekend schedule is always unplanned except for....

1. Sleeping late into the day

2. Watching atleast one movie

3. Spending atleast 2 hours teaching poor kids

4. Not coming online

Thats very commendable, you teaching poor kids. Not many have the desire or inclination for self-less service or giving back to society.

Theres room for debate on that comment, HP. About how no one does anything self-lessly.

My routine's cooler than yours

by Cowboy » Tue Jun 15, 2004 10:58 pm

5:30 - 6:00 am - Go out, see the sunrise

6:30 - 7:00 am - Breakfast

7:00 - 12:30 pm - Sleep

12:30 - 2:30 pm - Lunch. Useless talk with friends

2:30 - 7:00 pm - Sleep

7:00 - 8:00 pm - Brush, sh!t, bath etc etc

8:00 - 9:30 pm - Dinner and talk

9:30 - 5:30 am - Work, with 10mins break for coffee every 2 hours.

See the sunrise, think about all the work you've done that night and you can sleep peacefully. Been doing it for 2 years now, who cares about my grades anyway.

I am not obssessed with keeping track of timings, so here goes:

Morning: uh, wake up at 7 -8 or 9 depends. breakfast, morning news headlines on tv, start on any research for class projects, homework.

Afternoon: lunch around 12 - 3. again depends on days. i have classes on two days, so i have lunch late [ofcourse i dont plan on skipping any meals, ever] usually check email and FHDB during research times or anytime i feel like. music is must.

Evening: chill out, call up friends everywhere, eating my cell minutes! catch any primetime shows or just watch late news, dinner, read late into night sometimes 1 or 3 o clock.

days without classes: everything the same, just pushed back an hour, shop or hand out with friends, movies whatever random crap

weekends are completely different.
