My simple point is dont Fear GOD.. You should only fear if you have done something wrong. If you think you have... ask for his forgiveness and he will forgive. He is nice like that...

Also, when I mentioned that "I was a muslim" I was trying to make a point that, this doesnot come as a result of racial or religious prejudice. It is an honest opinion, not meant to DIS anyone.

I asked my muslim friend this question...."whether he feared Allah and if so justify".

He said that he definitely feared Allah. To justify this, he gave the following analogy. As kids we fear our parents more than we respect or love them. Its only with maturity that love and respect grows.

Similarly the fear of Allah, or for that matter any God, will be overcome only as we attain higher states of wisdom. Meanwhile as mere silly mortals we have to fear him.

Awesome answer......convinced me.
