There are many more agitations, proxy wars, revolts, uprisings and terror wars plaguing the world history. At least plaguing the news channels history. But I don't know the basic cause for any of these. I know they've been going on for decades now, and I feel terrible that I don't know the BASIC reason for the dispute in most cases.



Trying to read historians is:

a) Opinionated, as most of the material on these stories, is from a stand-point, trying to lead us to a certain stand.

b) Boring, except if you have a supermodel librarian to stare at.

c) Not really productive as they real cause is always lost out in the aftermath declarations, treaties etc.



It would be really nice if I could have the real reason behind the conflict in mind while reading all the add-ons. So, I wanted to know if folks around here have the time to explain the BASIC reasons of conflict in simple terms for any of the world disorders today.



I'll start with Israel-Palestine:



Israel was Judeo, where Jews lived. After the Romans conquered it, it became Palestine. Later, the Arabs defeated the Romans and conquered it. The Arabs started living there. After almost 1000 years, the jews started getting back to their "homeland". This was not liked by the Arabs who were already living there.



So there. As I said, highly simplified. The land originally belonged to the Jews. But the Arabs defeated them and occupied it. Then the Jews wanted to get back, but the Arabs had been living there for over 1000 years. Can take your reading material from here...

Raj was desperate. He made a thread on SEX on fullhyd.com,where the the goatgod lived. After the spammers conquered the thread, he turned gay. Later stingrae accepted Raj's offer and conquered the thread. Sting started living there. After almost 3 minutes the spammers returned to their homeland ,to find sting. This was not liked by them,who were always there.

So there. As I said, highly simplified. Raj wanted to "do" .Junta spammed. Sting answered in the affirmative TWICE. Raj sent PM. Sting answered with acid-filled PM. Junta chased Raj outta his misery n out of FH. Now almost 10000 minutes later, Raj is a legend and Sting is a Star Hyderabadi.

Hey, Vulcan, Mayavi will be able to give you a good (his, naturally)perspective on most of such issues. and most often the address of websites that he gets his info from



I generally get 'my' info from both the sides of the issue and make my own decision on that issue. If it is abt' Isreal and Palestine, I'd read newspapers (both the conservative's and the liberal's viewpoint) from both Isreal and Palestine. Initially, it might confuse me, ltr it certainly left me w/ better understanding of the issue than the previous day.



Ofcourse, i'm yet to get my perspective being 'cool' while I am reading any Pakis' newpapers on the issue of India/Paki conflict... My blood still boils, kargil and the maiming and throwing the body parts of our young soldiers is too recent for me to forget it and be all india/paki bhaibhai stuff...
