Information on it please

Guys, i returned to Hyderabad from Bangalore a week back and am planning to persue B.Com here. Most have recommended me Badruka and Nizams. I know about Badruka but need a bit information on Nizams. I was discouraged from some who say that there is a lot of goondas :D in that college, not affiliated to Osmania , not prestigious anymore as it used to be. I passed 10+2 with 70% and heard it's tough to gain admission in Badruka with that score if you are not from the reserved class. So need a bit of info on Nizams.I found this website of it http://www.nizamcollege.ac.in . Do you recommend it and suggest some others for B.com if you could. Thanx for the help :oops:

Nizam's a co-ed college and if i am not mistaken, Badruka Degree college is Boys only.

...so u know where to go....;) :lol:

Badruka is a co-ed and with some good quality of fair factor.. :D

but for Bcom i suggest u go to Bhavans sainikpuri... Nice college.. but dunno if u cud get the admission tho :roll:

IIMC,Lakdikapul is up there among the best in the country. Badruka's lost its reputation... IIMC was the first to start the B.Com Honours course in the state.... try ur hand there. Nice ppls abound there usually...:) dunno abt d cut-offs though...:?
I know I'm in there somewhere, and if I don't come out with my hands up, I'm going to go in there and get me!

Mani ratnam, Rajni kanth both are not tamilians, they settled in tamil nadu. Both are from maharashtra, so maharashtrians :D

u r wrong abt mani. he's a tam-bram. his dad was renowned tamil film producer Gopalaratnam and his bro is producer G.Venkateswaran. his only connection with maharashtra is that he did his MBA from mumbai.

Rajnikanth is a maharashtrian. his real name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad.

they are Tanjavur Brahmins...who some 200-300 yrs??? ago came from Maharastra and settled in Tamil Nadu :D

...it cud be possible with mani, but not rajnikanth. he's from a maharashtrian family in bangalore, who speak kannada flavored marathi at home.

About TB ... Tanjavur Brahmins ... I had this Lodge Mate in Mumbai ... "Karunakar" ... from the "kar" ending I concluded he must be a Maharashtrian ... He was M alright, but settled in TN, a TB ... His "Marathi" was 95 % Tamil! ... The endings and surnames do not restrict people to regions ... For eg "Joshi" ... could be Maharashtrian ... May be Kannadiga ... And perhaps North Indian, .... But "Namjoshi" mostly Maharashtrian!

Then, again, in my travels, I came across at Mettur Dam Reservoir, besides crocodiles ..., people who spoke "Marathi" which sounded like Tamil ... They said they were from Salem but hailing from Tanjavur and much earlier from Maharashtra .... The Tanjavur Maharashtrian Connection seems to have spawned into AP also ... one may come across "Marathis" - "Naiks", for eg - from Chittur, Kadapa and even Guntur Areas! Ms are truly "Mahan"!

a few 100 years ago, Marathas spread their kingdom till tanjavur (Tanjore) in TN and their people are the ancestors of the Tanjore Maharashtrians of today. even today the descendents of the Maratha rulers are living in Tanjore. their life style has totally become like local tamils' but in language they speak a strange tamil mixed marathi.
