some of my "Pettest" Peeves:

1) Foot/Shoe Prints on a western-style toilet seat.

2) Wet toilet seat

3) Hair/Food particles in wash basin

4) Fake foreign accents used OUTSIDE a call center

5) People boasting abt the dowry they got/gave

6) Noisy/messy eaters

7) People conversing loudly on mobiles in a cinema hall.

8) People getting cranky babies to a cinema hall.

9) Pessimists

10) Indians who talk endlessly of the superiority of Indian culture over any other in the world.

11) Foreigners becoming PM of India :lol: (sorry azazel, cudnt resist this)

12) People clearing their insides/throat loudly over the wash basin...like that loud "hack...hack...hack...hack...aaaaarrrrrgggghhh...thoooooo" thing i hear from my neighbor every morning.

Obviously you've never been to a muslim wedding - specially one in old city. I'm not blaming the whole lot of them, but I'll tell you what I saw in some 15-20 muslim marriages I attended in old city.

The food section is a bit different from Hindu marriages. A big hall is filled with tables with each table containing the sample menu items. The hall is closed till the wedding is over and when it opens, people rush in like they've never eaten before. You sit at a table with complete strangers and they use the same hand(thankfully, right) to serve themselves and to eat. Got my point? Don't you think that's kinda disgusting?

I guess people forget their table manners at peoples weddings in the Old City. The weddings I attend in India dont feature this phenomenon though, so I'd never know. And ignorance is bliss, in this case anyway.

Hey, nothing about my good ol' city. I don't think they are bad table manners. It's just the way they live. why should they care about someone else who's sitting at the table? Chances are, I don't know him and probably won't see him again in my life. But it's disgusting anyway. So I try to get a seperate table for myself and my friends at weddings.

well, i never got a chance to see dat...i've attended quite a few muslim weddings and they were all civilized affairs with prim n propah crowd and didnt seem different from any Hindu wedding dinner...
