Trying to locate a Jewish family in Hyderabad

Hi,

One of my engineer's from out US office is visiting India early June. He was very keen to spend a weekend with a Jewish family in Hyderabad if possible. Can someone help in locating a Jewish family in Hyderabad. I am not sure if there is some orgainzation/group whom I can contact.

Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Hi My Dear,

Just go to Cochin(Kochi) in Kerala. Go to Mattancherry. There you will find a jewish synagogue. You will find a jewish colony.You spend some time with them( jews). May be a week. They are the original jews who are beleived to have come from Palestine around the time of Doubting Thomas.They have taken some amount of Malayali characters now.Ask them whether they have any relatives in Hyderabad.

Those were the golden days.In 1994 when I was a young general practitioner, I spent some time in Cochin.Beleive me the bus charge from Matencherry to Fort Cochin was just 50 paise. The boat charge from Willington Islant to Ernakulam was just 25 paise.Oh god, gone were those golden days.

Or simply give an advertisement in Deccan chronicle.
