Switch to Netscape 7 or higher and lead a life without pop-ups! Linux users can use Mozilla or Konqueror.

Geez! Still using toolbars on IE. Switch to the open source world. Use Linux!

These pop-up busters are a good bet. But when you want to listen to online radio stations, they obstruct the windows as most of these stations use pop-up windows to play music. The same for many java driven image downloading pages like indiatimes and getty. So... I don't know what a permanent solution is.

Click on the Help Tab on the menu bar. Go to About Internet Explorer, and voila! It tells you the version on your system.

On a more personal note, I was not passing judgement on people who use IE. Was just promoting Linux, not that I get paid for it or anything. But, people just try using Netscape 7.0 (this one is for Windows, ok!) or higher. You will fall in love with the browser. Download free from netscape.com.

Press 'ctrl' button when u want to let any pop-ups pop. Google tool bar has the feature of enabling pop-ups for particular pages i.e., if you dont want to disable pop-ups on ur music page, u just click on the toolbar and google will not block those.
