Is this news confirmed or are you implying that he should be the PM because I did not see this news anywhere. :?

I agree.
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

According to me, as I've also stated in one of my earlier posts, Pranab Mukherji seems to be the right choice. He can hold the external affairs portfolio too.

me thinks the amount of time some1 can last as a PM now is not solely dependant on the individual..it depends on the party, the ministers in the cabinet...all this only if the person is not laloo prasad yadav

Manmohan Singh will not last as a PM for long.

not because he is not a good politician or any thing else. the thing is the other congress men will not let him b there.

the other day when Mrs. G announced her decision every one asked her to take it back. Kapil Sibbal openly said we do not believe anybody else.

if this is the support he is getting now...then we can guess wht will happen later.

When she does take over, BJP wud be too tired to argue and people wud not be very interested either

Proud of Our PM!

by Happy Hyderabadi » Tue May 25, 2004 9:18 am

Proud of Our PM!

We are made to believe that this election has been decided on only one major factor and that is secularism and it is not for power. Fair enough, it is a hitherto new dynamic that the politicians don’t want power but they want to maintain the secular fabric of the country. We are proud to have people with such high moral value.

But the scene which is getting unfolded with every passing day tells a different story. We must thank the various TV channels for keeping us posted on minute to minute basis with all gory details about all the hoi polloi going on for cabinet berths. Now again it is not for power, it is for the respective states, the packages are being asked as though ruling party will not take care of that. It reminds me of a small story of a sadhu.

The sadhu with his chelas was on dhyan below a banyan tree. Though the sadhu with closed eyes was in deep meditation but his right hand was busy in shifting the lota from left to right and then right to left, then again left to right and so on.

The chelas were perplexed.

After the trance of the sadhu the chelas asked,”Gurudev, what is the meaning of this lota shifting?”

The sadhu replied that before becoming sadhu I was a cheat so though I have studied scriptures and many bad habits I have left but I could not get rid of this habit of hera pheri .

I guess same is the case now, as all of these people are showing their true self now, we will miss pol khol by Shekhar Suman to understand the nuances.

We are happy that an honest hardworking, simple, knowledgeable gentleman has become our prime minister and we feel proud of him as he ushered the new era in India.
