As you know, some ppl out here do blog on http://www.fullhyd.com/blogs. I havent started yet. Maybe when we have a 8 day week or maybe when all weekends become weekdays and vice versa (like a good friend of mine hopes for :) )

You could google and find answers to almost anything. For tips on blogging check out :

Yup, Google the life saviour always..but then isn't it more interesting to get it first hand from ppl who r there before you, ppl u can discuss it with and share ideas with rather than just hitting the search button and reading up on what somebody had penned down probbably when he had nothing better to do?

Well, that was the sole intention of posting it here...

..I think I am kinda getting addicted to this forum...Cheers! :)

disgression from topics is common at fullhyd...cant stop it...tried it myself :)
People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.
I used to care, but things have changed.

Speaking of addiction, I never thought I would get addicted to blogging. I have about four of them now on fullhyd.com. I think it is a good way to let your creative juices flow. Not everyone can get Harper Collins to publish their ramblings, right? So, for lesser mortals like me, perhaps that is the best way to get people to read my writings.

Get a life :)

Vinita Manohar wrote:Hi everybody,

It's been quite sometime since I have been thinking of blogging but lack of time and the apprehension of going public has held me back till now.

Now, that fullhyd has a blog section and many of you have responded to it saying that you would like to indulge in it. I thought I would ask you guys a couple of things:

1) what it is like to blog. What I mean is how true are you to urself when you know that people you know or even strangers for that matter are gonna read it.

2)Where can I find good blogs?

3)Where do you guys blog now?

Hoping to get started on my blog pretty soon :)

First of all, sorry for a pretty late response. I don't check out these forums regularly, even thought I've been in and out for almost 2 years now. Heck, when you put your personal stuff on the internet, believe me, there is no god-damn privacy. Sure fullhyd provides lots of features, but it's easy for some experienced user to just change a URL and get access to your blog. So, don't put anything you don't want people to know.

For some good blogs, you can start at user journals of Slashdot. I don't blog, but Slashdot's a pretty decent place, and if you are anything like me (a bit geeky), you'll get hooked there. Take a look at CowboyNeal's blog at http://cowboyneal.org. It's one of the most popular blogs on the net. Other decent places include http://www.waferbaby.com - They eat bandwith for breakfast. Microsoft also has internal blogs, which are pretty popular with their employees. Who knows, you might run into Bill Gates or Craig Mundy :)

A listing of blogs grouped by topics can be found at http://radio.weblogs.com

Blogging does take lots of time, but once you get a hang of it, it might prove useful some day. I haven't thought of blogging myself, may be some other day. Have fun and happy/crappy blogging

Same thing happened with me. Someone in the hostel read mine. Keeping a diary is a good idea. Just incase if I got to be some famous personality and may be the CM of the state, people like Laxmi Parvathi are going to write my biography. Why take risks and lose royalties, I'll publish my own diaries :D
