i think both are good. from what Jasz said, i think PoC can be seen once, provided u dont go expecting an action packed violent film.

Lion King is on IMAX, hence expensive. If u havent seen it before, see it now, else it doesn't matter...

btw, saw the IMAX 3D movie 'Into The Deep' yesterday...truely awesome.

nobody shud miss that!
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings

POC is definetely good...one time watch ke liye. It is not as gory as the whole world made it sound like. Try Peter Pan too it is also a good movie...cute..feel good types. Pbbly I felt more so coz I watched it after POC :).

Oh no..there was Confidence in between..ahh..lousy movie. Yup spent my sunday hopping theatres..3 movies in a row :D.

Will let you know about Lion King tomorrow morning

PS: Into the Deep was interesting in the beginning with all those effects but after a while found it boring.

3 movies in a day!!!! equalled my record, u did!

for me those golden days were long ago in when i used to go to college whenever i was bored studying at home :D

but still i havent touched my dad's record: during his college days, he had seen all 4 shows in a day...and...2 of the shows were of the same movie...in 2 different theaters! he n his freinds lived on theater snacks n tea that day!

thats dedication to a cause....!

ya...he's the third generation in a line of movie fanatics...

when he's in college, i better get him to spend vacations working at Coffee Pubs/Fast Food joints etc...he can earn his movie ticket money n possibly find a date to accompany him too!

*sob* wish i had these opportunities when i was attending college in those dark ages when fast food date meant Shalimar (Koti) or Gokul Chaat or if bursting with money: Pick n Move or Havemor or Softy Den (secbad)...

*remembers that it was easier to impress gals those days*

saw PoC yesterday with wife...

its not as bad as Jasz n Azazel make it out to be...its definitely not entertainment, but is quite an experience. even a "blood n gore" guy like me had to flinch in some scenes.

the torture scenes are realistic to the extreme and watch it if u have the stomach for it.

i had imagined my wife would hate it but she liked it and was quite moved...and she actually cried during the torture, along with many others there...

Serious...Yes, Violent...Yes, Moving...Yes, Boring...Definitely Not...

...and thanX to the censors for passing it without a cut. Any cut wud've diluted the impact...

now some negatives:

as many reviews said, its soul less...people looking for inspiration or an 'awakening' of some sort wud be disappointed.

the main focus is on the suffering of Christ and not on what he stood for. Even the Resurrection is very fleetingly shown in the end.

(Signs of a sequel? i hope not. this shudn't become a movie franchise..like spiderman or matrix)

Sorry CAD for making the movie look bad. It was not our intention. From now on Azazel (whose internet at home is down) and I will tell ppl about movies from a non-hoity-toity-movie-buff stance. Unless someone disses good movies.

Gibson’s The Passion of The Christ is not out of any religious litrature. Neither the movie acts as a church preaching. It is an movie based in the 19th century German Nun and Mystic ANNE CATHERINE EMMERICH. Who has envisioned the bloody crucification by use of certain divine powers gifted to her. She had recorded all that she saw in the ‘vision’ and 200 years later Mel Gibson adapted.
