but i could give u an opnion from my tryst with those 7 horrifying years!

i think the difference springs mainly from the safety issue - atleast in my family and from the friends ive known

but there are still some people - who pray fervently for a boy and regard a girl as inferior - yes extremely surprising but i know people who think this way!

Neanderthals, undoubtedly!

that is teh difference in treatment given to girls and guys

abt attitude and mental make-up: i think the difference is on an individual basis and not gender based

btw, all 3 teenage ko peeche chod chuke hai

as reg. the bias b/w guys n gals ..

its more or less a safety issue..

apart from that, parents tend to associate guys with future-security for themselves.. but, the trend has definitely gone down these days..

restrictions are not a matter of edge...just mindsets...

1) Parents assume their girls are delicate dolls (*can see Giftie laff*)

2) Parents r secretly worried that their li'l angels, ghar ki laxmis etc might meet a handsome good for nothing in the big bad world and at worse, become pregnant ( they dunno that their li'l Gals take lotsa precautions these days!   )

as far as the problem of preferring sons over daughters is concerned, its due to the fear of paying huge dowry. eradicate the dowry problem, this bias too would disappear.

Shreya,

I don't know about others, but I *DO* maintain friendship Only with a lot of SINGLE women. At times I do get sexual feelings about them, depending on my moods, their dress, make-up or plain smiles.

Ofcourse, I ONLY fantasize and every time the fantasy ends, I kick myself on the head for doing this rather un-wanted thing. For, I am married and I think that trying to "use" an opportunity will surely wreak havoc in my married life.

Frankly the thought of seducing a single female crossed my mind more than once and I am sure most of the guys would jump at the opportunity. Ofcourse I did find myself being seduced some times, but that depends on the female in question. You asked for a frank opininon, right?!!!!

Moreover the name Srinivas is even more suspicious, the other day that dude "one" said that ur real name might be Srinivas. Hence I second Azazel's suspicions.
