History of Telangana Movement

by Saradhi » Sat Apr 17, 2004 2:50 pm

As people said, Telangana region has backward area as compared to coastal Andhra. Nobody is denying that.

Before KCR came up, this issue was raised two times and few telangana people became CM's also (like Chenna reddy, J Vengala Rao,..).

So Raising this issue and becoming CM already happened. But nothing more happened for Telangana.

Coming to this time, the political situations came like this:

Initially, KCR was one of the noted telengana leader in TDP. And he expected more recognition in the party. But he was dominated by other telengana leaders like vijayarama rao, devender goud,.. in the party. So he frustrated and guessed that there won't be a great future in the government. He raised the telengana issue with few sympathizers. Frankly speaking, He started this revolution very efficient way that nobody expected. He received good response from the people of telangana and higher officials. He was able to attract the crowd but not the leaders. So he invited the leaders from different parties.

Coming to Tiger Narendra, He was one of the greatest leaders in AP-BJP. He too has frustration in his party as he is not getting recognition eventhough he was one of the founders of AP-BJP.

So both together started the revolution and moving forward, Response becoming high and satisfactory. But in this duration big parties like, TDP, Congress and BJP are followed just "Wait and See" policy. And taken care that, not loosing their party followers and leaders.

Unexpectedly, Assembly got dissolved, undeclared war has been started. Political parties hold hardly their vote bank and leaders. So TRS was unable to increase their sympathizers and leaders. One of the leftist parties supported the TRS without changing the goal.

Till here, the goal of TRS is: "Separate telengana and its development"

By days are going, TRS decided that it unable won the assembly seats with existing strength. So what it has to do? Goal has been changed to “Defeat the Chandra Babu". So immediately Congress and another left party came to tie-up with TRS.

Now the Goal of TRS is: "Defeat TDP government".

Congress gave few seats to TRS nearly 40. What's great in that ? In those seats many rebels are there. In some seats any two of the candidates are fighting from Congress, TRS, CPI and CPM.

I guess, Finally TRS may win nearly 20 assembly seats. Once the government has formed, who ever it may be, if they wants few assemble seats, splitting of TRS will be very easy like BSP in UP. 1/3 of the splitting is valid. If government offers ministry, the fellow will go with 5 MLA's.

So finally TRS will be ignored, Separate telengana issue will be sleep like

previous cases.

Unnecessarily, for political gains, leaders trying to get benefit these kinds of sentimental issues.

Hey bad boy.

Cant read Mother Toungue, sorry if I am wrong and if your mother toungue is not telugu.

Anyway take it easy.

I did my level best to give a correct trnsalation of the questions. If I am wrong and if anybody can correct me, Please correct me.

1) Who is benefitting from the call of boycotting the elections by the People's War?

2) Is this call is influencing the outcome of the Elections?

3) Is the call of boycotting the elction by People's War is not resulting the upper caste people who is coming to Power?

4) In other words, until the revolution comes in BC,SCs and STs, Does People war is asking and encouraging the Upper CAste to come to power?

5) Did People war helped the people in its main area to become strong in terms of living standards, education standards and social Justice?

6) Can People's war can show any persons who studied post graduation in the areas it is strong? Why people war cant give that orientation to them?

7) Does it not mean that people in its area should wait until the revolution comes and until that time, only upper caste people should have jobs? Is it what People's war acheived and is it what the revolution they are creating? They says they wanted to create revolution and awareness in the people and how far they are able to achieve in the last 25 years?

8) Without Modern education, modern development is not possible? Howmany schools, colleges people's war have constructed and how many it destructed? To howmany people it gave jobs other ythan recruiting them into its cadre?

9) What is People war's Contribution in the progress of the People's Living standards, production of the items , especially in the agriculture in the areas it has strong hold? wts the revolution level it achieved in the people in the last 2 1/2 decades?

10) Did inter-caste and inter-religion marriages are happening in their stong hold villages? Did they encouraging such incidents in those areas? if not, where is the revoltuino they are talking of?

11) Today they says they want sepoearate telangana state and they says they supprots it. But whats the meaning of Naxalisms and from where it started and who started all this rubbish? First you looted the people who came from Andhra and settled in Telagana and created difffrences between the both.

12) Did they taked about the telangana issue from 1975 and 1995? Why suddenly they raises today?

13) why they disnt come out and particpate and live publicly in the state now? If one puts a public meeting for 3 hours and tells their principles and tries to revolutionise the peole, the effect will be more. If you sits and hides in the forests and gives Interviews to Journalists secretly once in 6 months, how much revolution you can get in the people?

People's war is a unconstituional party which has 80 years of Experience, History and the writer(I think Most of the people) wants them to come out and declare their manefesto like other parties are doing and declare howmuch development they want to do in their strong hold areas.

Thats what that article says. I took a lot of pain to translate to the best of my abilities and if I am wrong , please correct me .

I wanted to add some more to the article.

Whats the cause for starting of the Naxalite movement???

Who started it??

Who are the active mebers in it???

Who is there in it now?

Whatever development in the Telangana is there is ruined by Naxalites.

It is one of the major problems.

Let me tell two examples clearly.

1)

A village gets a Telephone Exchange after a lot of efforts and Govt has its own priotities and sanctions the telephone exchange to a village on a quota basis village by village.

And within one month of its sanction, if naxalites destroys it , who is going to loose here??

Wts the scope for development here??

That village wont get telephone exchange for another 5 years because Govt cant give twice immediately as it allocates the exchanges to other villages. Who is loosing here???

Naxalites are the biggest problem for the development of Telangana region.

3000 crores were invested by the Home Department against Naxalites in 2002-2003 year????

If naxalites were not there , this money can be invested for development activities automatically.

2) Naxalites have destroyed a railway station near Nalgonda (I didnt remeber that village name exactly) in the route of Guntur-Hyderabad via nadikudi. Then wts the result??

Railway department stopped all the trains from Guntur-HYderabad via nadikudi & diverted them via Vijayawada-Warangal for almost 2 months.

Who lost in this transaction???

People of this route.

Wt naxalites gained here???

And after this incident, All the developmental activities in this route were stopped because of the fear of naxalites destroyng them.

There is a proposal constructing a double railway route in this region before this incident and that proposal became stand still after this incident.

So who is loosing here??

The same poor people which naxals says we are fighting for.

Who is behind this and who lost this??

3) Naxals gave a statement sayign that they"ll stop the Uranium project in Nalgonda region and now no industrialist is coming forward to undertake this project because they fears destruction of thier assets during the project.

As long as this fear is there, no major industry, no major development will take place in Telangana.

4)

Today there is ironical position at most of the places where the local leaders & govt oficers cant enter some villages because of Naxalite problem.

Who asked naxals to destroy public assets, govt offices and threaten the local representatives not to enter their villages?

If a govt officer cant enter a village, how the development will happen? How does the govt know wt the people in that village needs?

He made his intentions very clear when he publicily annonced that they are following Naxaliste agenda.

This guy threatened to destroy Srisailam Canal if telagana doesnt get water.

He said if Telagana state forms, he will make sure that Almatti dam height will be increased so that Andhra doesnt get water.

Separate sTate

by Saradhi » Thu Apr 29, 2004 9:32 pm

May be it is good to see the coin on both sides. Telangana people are right in their perception that a change will bring some betterment in how it is now. The same time Andhra’s have the scare of loosing their water resources just like what Andhra Pradesh is suffering from the Almatti Dam.

I agree with Telangana’s argument when they say we don’t have the basic needs accomplished. On the other hand I’ll ask them to think why few people are stinking rich when many are struggling with the poverty. Look at the economical differences and the lenient minds. I can see all the leaders are becoming rich with doing nothing, which can imperatively tells us about the selfish leadership the Telangana people have got.

If somebody feel that the leadership is not putting any efforts to develop Telangana, One must have to realize that they have a good number of assembly constituencies and with this number their leadership can influence the governance to take up all the development programs by this time and they must have benefited and see those results by this time. The leadership is the same and I don’t think this leadership will do miracles even if it got separated from Andhra. Where is the fresh blood?

It always became an issue when a leader from Telangana wants the political importance, but doesn’t have the same honesty to serve the people and did nothing for their region after even if they got with the power. As many people are mentioning about the lack of basic needs coastal Andhra also suffered a lot with these problem till late 80’s and now it has got much better resources (I’ll appreciate the leaders from this region for their efforts in accommodating their people with the basic needs, But still blames on their poor foresee in the other aspects).

If somebody looks at the Godavari and Krhna basin, it has many times suffered with floods and cyclones and still suffering with the same problems. We are draining lots of water into sea and if a good governance comes up with a proper plan it will be beneficiary for both Andhra and Telangana and we may use this water more efficiently. They feel happier if they got with adequate water in a controlled way with no floods cyclones. Some lands are fertile and gives best outcomes when you cultivate it and some other lands are rocky and having mines in it. Some other lands are useful for different purpose. Don’t say I’ll use all the lands just to cultivate.

It should be feasible to do anything. But think about the wise option to use the infrastructure. Definitely everything can be used someway or the other way. Proper plan will definitely gives the better results. Infrastructure will never go waste if you use it in a right way. A better architect can use a 100 yards space more wisely. I strongly feel that is an inability or poor of planning in the governance.

Unity is always mighty and facilitates things to be done at much faster, think wise and don’t once again get cheated by the fraud leadership. The youth needs to come forward to think on this to leading themselves, to acquire whatever they need.

I believe Telangana people needs young, sincere, enthusiastic and innovative leadership, not a separate state. A united state will give Andhra Pradesh more revenue and required financial resources to finish any new project with a short period, but it can be possible with a good leadership and the constructive thinking. Think on it.

May be a person from Andhra can question when somebody from Andhra can live in interior Telangana districts like Adilabad why not the local can do the same in their place or why not they can migrate to Andhra or any other place where they can live. You can see highly educated and qualified people too there. But there they are little rigid and don’t show the enthusiasm towards the politics to lead their Region towards progress.

If you see the leaders from Andhra many of them are highly educated Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers and economists and they know how to lead their People. Where in the leaders from Telangana are mostly uneducated goons and definitely there you can see the difference in the leadership.

I believe the development will be possible when the educated and qualified people come forward to accept to take up the leadership and plan the development.

You say leaders from Coastal Andhra are more sincere and all of 'em are highly educated leaders. Telangana people elected those kind of leaders hoping they will do good to their part of AP too. Apparently, they showed favortism and developed only coastal Andhra by pumping all the money to only their lands. Why didn't they develop Telangana when they are representing the whole state? They are nothing but a bunch of cunning foxes. On the contrary leaders from Telangana are not like that. Hitherto they are considered to be honest. When people from telangana became CMs they didn't ignore coastal Andhra like their counterparts ignored Telangana. They may not be very well educated, thats because most of the parts are underdeveloped, the general socio-economic conditions are projected in their leaders.

Lets divide the state and share the water equally and see after few decades which state will be more developed. Changes don't come in a day or two.
