If Azazel, The Deccan Diety (read "Discussion Board Spammer No.1"), doesnt mind, I would like to explain the present Azazel avatar. (For obvious reasons)

It is a homage to one of the great (and eccentric) Directors of all time, Stanley Kubrick.

In his 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket, Mathew Modine plays Private Joker, a wannabe-journalist who ends up in the Army at the height of Nam. After a tuff-as-usual boot camp, where he is trained to become "a Minister of Death praying for war", he (in my opinion) becomes a confused soldier. Hence he wears a helmet which says "Born to Kill" and also has a Peace badge.

Stanley Kubrick's mind is more complicated than I thought. He did not want Lee Ermey (he instructor) to blink even once in the whole movie. Such was Kubrick's quest for perfectionism.

Some people prefer to call him pretensious.

After watching David Lynch, I kinda agree with them.

Also his fetish for phallic symbols sometimes gets irritating

I think that isnt an AK-47, it seems like a sub-machine gun.

Look closely at the butt of the rifle

Whats wrong with AK-47? Its the beast weapon for CQB (close quarter battles). Even Indian armed forces (and US marines in DS I) use that in CI ops.

Anyway, NSG doesnt use AK-47 they use heckler and kosch, the weapon in this pic is MP-5.
