Fighting with the wind-Indian cricket team

by peeping tom » Sun Mar 14, 2004 12:10 pm

In Recent past as per records Pakistan has/had been a poor Cricket team in the world scenario.Anyway I will be happy even India kills a Rat .But one thing is very clear. In to my eyes Mr Javed Mianded seems to be a big jocker roaming around the stadiums.

WELL DONE INDIA

by Saradhi » Thu Apr 01, 2004 2:39 pm

There were joyous scenes at the Multan Stadium as India secured its first Test win on Pakistani soil, beating the hosts by an innings and 52 runs on Thursday.

The Indians had not won any of their previous 20 Tests in Pakistan, losing five and drawing 15.

It was only India's second innings victory over Pakistan. The other was the inaugural Test between the two teams in New Delhi in 1952.

Sourav Ganguly and his boys are proving they are one of the best Indian teams ever. Victories in the West Indies, Australia, England and now Pakistan have seen them shed the tag of home tigers.

Join in the celebration and congratulate the Indian team on their historic victory!

Is it a crime or what if you refer to any editorial?

Editorials are opinions of certain individuals and if you like it, you refers them.

Most people tend to refer to them if they want to support their views.

You are right.

You need not reinvent the words and the cycle.

Just use them for your reference.

a good observation..

providing links if one does take somethin from somewhere else is the nxt best thing to writing it urself..

atleast it takes some blame off u, incase somethin goes wrong

but, worse than that.. is when one silently takes credit for somethin good!

p.s: this is just a general thing.. not meant to offend ne1

Well Done Dravid

by Saradhi » Fri Apr 16, 2004 11:30 am

Well Done Dravid, The unsung Hero Of Indian Cricket.

Writing in Wisden Asia Cricket a couple of months ago, Sanjay Manjrekar - a batsman in whose mould Dravid is cast - hailed Dravid as the fourth Indian batting great after Gavaskar, Viswanath and Tendulkar.

But I always rates Dravid above Tendulkar.

Tendulkar will perhaps end his career with a hundred hundreds. But as Indian cricket stands on the precipice of its own golden age, it must be remembered that Rahul Dravid has made the most difference.

What do you say Guys?

Rahul Dravid has been the one consistently fighting it out in the last few months.. he's easily been India's best batsmen, barring none!

I wouldnt rate Rahul higher than Sachin as a batsman 'cept for his consistency .. when he is on song, ST can absolutely murder any attack ! Its just that Rahul reached his peak now, while Sachin da is beyond his

Last few months.

I dont agree with you.

He is a constant performer for the last 4 years. But people just realising and he himself realising his capabilites and hence coming wiht huge scores.

Remember on each wonderful performnace of other Indian Batsman, Rahul always had the Calming Influence which havent get noticed by people, but people realising it now.

1) When Lakshman hit 281, Rahul was with him.

2) When saurav hit 185 against Srilanka in 1999 World Cup, Rahul was with him.

3) When Sachin got 189,highest by an Indian in onedays, Rahul was with him.

But one thing I can say is:

MAking your team win by your own ability is an art and I accept that SAchin mastered that art.

But at the same time, Saving the team from a loosing posiiton is also an art and I am sorry to say that SAchin havent masetred that art.

Let us take the second innings of second test against Pakistan. It is the innings which SAchin should play to save the game, but failed to do so.

At this time, I would to remind one player. Mr.Steve Waugh who is a master of saving his teams from Dloosing.

If steve was in the team for the second innings of the second against Pak, he definitely might have played a wonderful innings to save his team and even he might have scored a double century to put his team in the winning position. Let me remind you the last innings he played in Sydney which saved Australia and denied a historic series win for INdia.

The art of making the Team is an art, at the same time, saving your team from loosing is always an art.

For my opion, Sachin mastered the art of winning, but not saving the matches for his team.

KUDOS

by Saradhi » Fri Apr 16, 2004 3:27 pm

Kudos to the Indian TEam for their Historic Oversees series win , that too on Pakistan.

Much hyped Pakistan bolwing line-up has collapsed before Mighty Indian Batting LineUp where as bowling considered as weekest for India, But it did very well.

Pakistan's strength became their weakness and India's weakness became its strength.

Patience, dedication, disciplane, team spirit is the secrets of Indian Win.

Saurav boys conquered the pakistan.

Well Done Guys.

Proud to be an INDIAN
