Suffering eSpecial to ArP! Some Years Ago, Our Team had to go the Other AP ... ArP ... Arunachal Pradesh, twice within Three Months ... We flew by IA ... from Hyderabad to Calcutta and then to Guwahati, from thence to Itanagar andSite in ArP by Road ... First time by Car, Second time by Bus.
The IA Flight from Hyd to Cal gave us Stonehard Snacks, from Cal to Guw was short and busy in seeing Green Bangla Desh Below. From Guw to ArP we were frequently stopped and our Luggage checked by the Military in their efforts to deal with Ultras. Roadside Assam gave us excellent Tea ... But for Food ... Mounds of Excellent Hot Rice were served on Leafs and followed immediately by Buckets of Hot "Fish Curry" a la Tamil Nadu's Sambar Bucket Brigade ... No Vegetarian Food, so my Journey was indeed "Fast".
ArP was all hilly ... Itanagar had a Brilliant Hill of Lighted Homes a Treat to Watch, from Hotel Ashok Dona Paula ("Sun & Moon")! The roads were being still laid and for most part the Ups and Downs and Twists & Tosses of the Track ensured that any Food ingested, from days earlier also, would get digested ...
Near our Work Spot about 30 KM up in the Mountains was Ziro, special "Inner Line"permission was needed ... so we couldn't go there. But , nearer home recently in IMAX I could see a glimpse of Ziro, a place reputed to be Thousand Times Fresher & More Beautiful than any Place in Kashmir ... You, too might have seen in that Moving Picturisation and Song "Maa Tujhe Salaam ... Vandey Maataram".
Two Other Facts Noteworthy of ArP ... The Ar People as well as Flora and Fauna seemed to Reduced 80 pc by "Xerox" ... A 5 footer from our parts would be a "Giant" compared to their 4 footers ... the Cock and Hen, the Goats all seemed small and strange ... the effect of Xerox Reduction. Six Footers could be found in the Mountainous Regions to the East as one nears the Borders to China & Burma.
The Return Journey, second time was done by Vayudoot from the Hills to Guw, from Guw to Cal by IA ... the Guw - Cal began at 9 AM and just when we were thinking we were landing in Cal to feast on Rossogollas & Roti Rolls (Cal Special) ... "poor visibility" forced us back to Guw ... for deplaning ... for eternal waiting for refreshments & meals, made possible by some public spirited Gentleman belting out ferociously in Assamese to the Airport Staff ... The Bark, thought painful to the ear achieves the needful from Dog-Fearing Service Providers.
We returned to Cal, just minutes before the IA Flight to Hyderabad ... We ran and ran luggage and all, checked through, waived through ... To end the Suffering eSpecial at that Time, for the Time!
