Are there any Jewish communities in Hyderabad?

Hi,

I wanted to know if there are any Jewish communities in Hyderabad. A friend of mine who is down from Israel, wanted to celebrate the passover (Pesach). It would be a great help if I could get some information about this.

Dunno abt Hydbadi Jews...but if yr friend's not able to find any here, he can fly to Mumbai for Passover. there is a substantial Jewish community there and Synagogues too.

I think its time hydbad got some Jews (and a Synagogue)...we've got people from almost all religions, its a shame to leave out a major religion like this one!

Hi CAD,

I agree that she could fly to Bombay (or Cochin). She could also contact the Israel Embassy to get some info. Apart from these I wanted to know whether anybody knows a Jew in town. Thanks for your help anyway.

So Zion is in rd no 14 eh? The Last time I visited, it was in earths core.

Which reminds me... do you guys think the Wachowski Brothers equated the Zion in Matrix to Israel, the last safe haven for Jews and the machines diggin into it and mindlessly killing people to the suicide bombers.

I cant help but notice the similarities, its subtle but its there.

me thinks the Wachowskis' put a lotta stuff in there which was pretty much inspired by world literature/events/mythology

perhaps, u could chk out some of the sites related to the movie..
