I am from US and I am coming to hyderabad in the month of april to setup a software development center in malakpet, where my house is.



I was away from hyderabad for quite long and I am not familiar with best cable internet providers & desktop computer sellers in hyderabad ..

I will be forming a team of 10 so I will be needing 10 desktops networked with net access .. I have few questions and I appreciate if some one could provide right info ..



1. which are the top 3 cable internet providers in malakpet

2. which is the best cable modem brand

3. which is popular router for networking

4. best desktop computer under Rs30,000/each and which stop

5. is assembling works out cheaper for 10 desktops or better buying directly in the store

6. which computer providers provide best tech support

malakpet? thats an odd place to set up a s/w dev company! anyway its your prerogative where u run your business.

i use cable internet at home and in my opinion its neither fast nor reliable enuf to be used for official purposes. its good only for home browsing purposes. better go for a good telephone line based connection from various providers.

4. best desktop computer under Rs30,000/each and which stop

i hope u mean "shop" when u said "stop". go to parklane area in secbad for computers and peripherals. there are hundereds of shops that sell various hardware and software (incl. pirated stuff). bargain hard and demand bulk discounts.

5. is assembling works out cheaper for 10 desktops or better buying directly in the store

since you plan to use the computers for office purposes, i suggest you go for good branded computers from authorized showrooms. slightly expensive but reliable performance and after sales service. if this is not possible, at least have branded machines for main servers in your office.

6. which computer providers provide best tech support

again, here the branded ones score over assembled ones. Unless your vendor of assembled PCs is well known to you or to any of your close friends/relatives.

I choosed old malakpet , bcos we already have big office space on the first floor of our house and I am trying to avoid the rent by using space we own .. My primary concern is internet conection speed bcos every one in our team will be accessing the Net pretty much whole day and Net speed should not be a botheration otherwise productivity will go down quite a bit ...



Net speed is primary criteria for me to choose the location, so I am try to gather as much info as possible so that I will set-up the office where I can get reliable and quality net connection at reasonable price..



So, which company would you recommend for Net access for office use ?

i recommend BSNL or TATA INDICOM (VSNL). for work you would need hi-speed dedicated lines, for which i do not know the various tariffs. u can visit their web-sites for more info.
